club needs to find a way to guarantee we get this bloke. when you think about the uncertainty that goes into choosing players to draft, it's not often an interstate draftee says he wants to play for us. after all the talk over the past couple seasons about how we can't keep our talent, picking jez would be a step in the right direction.

It’s not like we would be picking him just because he said he wants to come either. Could definitely do with a player of his ability down there to lock in.
Doesn’t seem to be a pure running rebounder like Scrimshaw/Kk. Can lock down an opponent, get off his man to intercept, and still has the skills to be able to start a rebound.
Not sure on his speed but apparently was in the upper echelon for endurance. And seems like a pretty good kid as well.

I wouldn’t be upset if we landed him, to say the least.

Still no guarantee he would stay long term despite wanting to be drafted by us. We are just one of his preferred destinations. I’m sure he’s just as happy to stay home.
If he’s available and we want him then yes we should draft him, but if we have other players we rate higher we should stick to the plan. Then monitor his progress over the next few years and if he turns out to be a gun, tempt him with our beautiful beaches and laidback lifestyle :)

and a disclaimer that I have never seen Lukosius play.

Can someone convince me he isn't Mach 2 KK or even worse.. Marco Paparone.?

True, but all you can ask is for guys to come with an open mind and while that's no guarantee things will work out its still a better chance of having a positive outcomes then getting someone who is looking for the exit door from the get go.

Not new news, but was chatting with a suns player today and asked who he thought we would be drafting at 2 and 3. He said that the club was backing themselves in and would take the best available. So I said the SA boys and he said yep. So from that I took away we’d be taking Lukosius and Rankine (Or Rozee?). But definitely not trading those pics or picking up the King twins.

Think the club has to back themselves in.
Interesting that the players get some insight into the process.
I would have thought that was completely separated from them.

Probably threw a survey monkey together asking for players opinion to get a gauge!

I noted a large sign there proclaiming "Collaboration Centre"
