Ok take a rest with the twins .
Brisbane pick 18 and Collingwood 2019 2nd Rd,pick 44 or 56 for GC pick 24 ,29 .
Time for Brisbane to return the favour for those multiple swap pick .

If the Crows and Port are right into them we will likely be watching them at the end of their contracts anyway

The club needs to get this right, if they take Rankine and Luko they better be able to hold onto them
I honestly don't think Rozee is an issue. Already moved down to Adelaide from his home in the country. Apart from the other vagaries of keeping footballers happy ($$$, success, development etc), I think he's a safe bet.

Luko has a tight family unit in Adelaide but seems pretty professional and hasn't really bought in to the whole don't draft me caper. I'd say he's a chance to go ok.

Rankine is the one any interstate club would be seriously nuts to take. He'll be gone end of 2019, never mind his contract.

As with a number of indigenous folk, he has very strong family ties, and has gone out of his way to send the strongest possible message that Adelaide is home and he's not for turning.

Adelaide is shit. Hope we take him just to piss you off.

I think Lukosius is pretty much locked in at this point. Supposedly Rankine actually interviewed quite well with us but still expect us to take Rozee. the issue for us being though that Rozee at 3 is a bit of a reach, but he’ll probably get taken at 5 by port if Rankine is off the board which makes it difficult for us to navigate. I imagine we’ll take him at 3 regardless to make sure we get him and then take someone like Smith at 6 - someone with massive leadership potential

Besides the go home factor there is also the issue that he seems to be a me first, cocky player. I’m not that is a great fit in a team sport

Can be a great trait or a team cancer

He's not a selfish player at all. If it appears that way it may be because he's a small forward with a goal sense that is uncanny. You wouldn't mind him having the shots and missing because of the shots he nails that he has no right to get. It's still team work if you're the one on the end of the handball or mark inside 50, but it's the possessions you don't see where he's playing his role in the team which are too boring for highlights reels.

Sour grapes from South Australians who are realising that they won't get either of their best prospects are now making up stories to try and put off opposition scouts and fans.

Actually listening to Cal Twomey speaking, he said he usually can tell if a player won’t want to move interstate or will come home early, said he hears it from Bailey Smith but hasn’t noticed it at all with Rankine. Measures up well with what we’ve heard about him as well. Starting to think we may go

2. Lukosius
3. Rankine
6. Rozee (if there) or Caldwell

Rozee won't be on the table at #6. I agree that Lukosius and Rankine are the best available, but you keep saying Rozee / Smith and I'm telling you there's no way Port will pass over Rozee or Rankine regardless of who the Suns select.

You say that, but their fans overwhelmingly prefer Smith. I wouldn't call it set in stone.

This is a discussion forum everybody should be allow to discuss different draft swapping scenario until draft night .Nobody knew what Dew and Cameron thinking until draft night ,why not some open discussion with different kind of scenario rather than shut down every discussion involve the King Twins .

If we had 2-3 A grade mids already then I’d be all over the Kings like a cheap suit.
But we don’t.

Twomey again on Road to the draft podcast said that Bailey Smith likely to remain in Victoria
Basically said wouldn't be going to a non victorian club.

Nothing is set in stone. Carlton could turn around and pick Bailey Smith at number #1 because he interviewed well and they find out that Sam Walsh hates their guts and will seek a trade to the Lions after 2 years. Carlton don't need Lukosius or Rankine, although they have an excellent history of recruiting South Australians, nor do they want either of the Kings. Or maybe they get an offer too good to refuse and trade out of 1st place because they just aren't any good at choosing 1st anyway. The Suns could trade out of #2 and or #3, the Saints could trade out of #4, or nothing could happen.

But if Rozee lasts to #6 it would be a minor miracle given what Port have given up to get into #5 only to pick a kid who doesn't want to leave Melbourne.

Sounds like Caldwell at 6 then, unless someone wants to trade up.

I get the feeling their attempts to move up are for Rankine or Lukosius. I expect some big offers to come for pick 3, accordingly. Of course they could select Rozee but I imagine it's only if they don't back themselves to keep Smith.

Sounds like GC should have stood firm on wanting pick 5 instead of letting us get a free pick out of devaluing it. But what's done is done.

I agree , ideally I would like to have ,Lukosius , Rankine and Smith /Rozee/ Caldwell . But let's look at the worse scenario the king twins , Caldwell ,Rozee, Smith , liam stocker, Duurma or Hately . The king twins could well be the future replacement for Thompson ( 28 next year) and Sam Day ( 27 next year) if they stayed longer than 4 Years .

Thats when Carlton will trade #1 to Port for #5 + #10
They would get Smith + another mid

If you are Port recruiters your job on the line would you swap pick 5,10 for pick 1. I wouldn't.

Silvagni is too stubborn in regards to trades imo. I honestly doubt he would even consider that as an option. He’d want 5, 10 and another pick between 10 - 15 to even consider. He makes dodoro look easy to deal with

YES

Getting Lukosius would be huge for port and they would be over the moon to do that deal

If he was genuinely considering Smith with the #1 pick then he 100% would trade that pick to SA team
Lukosius
Rankine
Walsh
Rozee

all these players will be selected prior to Smith which Blues could get with #5

Can't wait until draft night ,I think GC keep 2,3,6 and Draft some Vic country boys at 24,29 .

R u guys trying to just tease and play with the heads of Crows/Port supporters by putting in these posts where you suggest we would give them pick 2/3.
If so then you blokes are pure genius at mental and psychological cruelty to people and I commend you for it.

Just a scenario , people can choose to believe it or not .All of us had no idea what Craig Cameron would do in draft night .
