Oh definitely. He looks pretty good from his highlights as well. It’s just interesting that he has risen lately without playing or even testing at the combine which is normally where kids will rise. Clubs must’ve liked what they saw from his hamstrings at the combine and are confident he will get over it. Would definitely back him in if the docs are confident.
There were a few clubs who were chasing inside mids like St Kilda & Bulldogs & missed out. GWS lost 2 mids. We especially need good ones. With him smashing the interviews he’s probably what these clubs around 6-10 want and need.
Maybe he’s always been highly rated by clubs but the mock drafts are all about exposed players sometimes. It’s a good question.

Where have you seen his highlights Young_Guns ? I would love to check them out but haven’t been able to find anything from a casual search.

Ok. I am going to issue an admin line in the sand.

Given the ongoing reports and angst with this board, I am going to make it clear to one and all in this thread (possibly elsehwere too).

Do not play the man. Do not discuss moderation. Just stick to the topic and talk footy.

I will have zero tolerance to potting other people and will apply permanent thread bans.

No questions asked.

I saw highlights of his first qtr against the Allies before he got injured. I’m trying to find at least that for you.

post on the main drafting board about something said on 3aw radio.

Potentially a super trade coming (see below)

Carlton IN’ Picks 4, 18, 31, 56, 67, 78
Carlton 2019 IN’ St Kilda First Round
Carlton OUT’ Picks 1, 71 & 2019 First Round, 2019 Crows Third Round

St Kilda IN’ Pick 1, 14, 35
St Kilda 2019 IN’ Suns Second Round
St Kilda OUT’ Pick 4, 67 & 2019 First Round

Brisbane IN’ Picks 43, 71
Brisbane 2019 IN’ Fremantle First Round
Brisbane OUT’ Picks 18, 35, 56, 78, Suns 2r 2019

Fremantle 2019 IN’ Carlton First Round and Crows Third Round
Fremantle OUT’ Picks 14, 31, 43, 2019 First Rd

Would give st holds pick 1
- they could take Walsh/rankine or trade to port Adelaide for 5,10,15.

Carlton pick 4
- ? Max king / bailey smith.

Would be an unbelievable exchange so you’d have to think it’s very unlikely but could throw things into chaos if it does.
With pick 2 an 3 though we will definitely get either lukosius or Walsh so are in a great position.

Carlton only have four senior list spots available.

Will be reduced to three if we pick up a DFA, which is highly likely as we need more mature age depth.

Carlton also have Ben Silvagni and Wil Hickmott as father son selections.

I think there's going to be a lot of speculation in the coming weeks on massive pick swaps, especially involving high end picks. Probably more unlikely than likely to happen. More for clickbait I suspect.

This is not from my fake account. I don't actually have a fake account. I had one but it was shut down faster than Mr Bods could say "The Brisbane River is so dirty and smelly it reminds me of Hawthorn's clash jumper".

I think the Suns will win AFLX and finish 17th for the next 3 seasons. Pick #2 forever!

I also think we should change our team name to the 49ers because after the Draft we will have 49 players on our list. #GC49ers

just some thoughts
sam Collins wasn't delisted because he was terrible it was because we have a few really good young key defenders alex pearce is seen as the heir to nat fyfe
plus hamling and logue
rozee was a favorite for pick number 1 in under 16s and no way he gets past port at pick 5 if you go rankine.
id bend of backwards for for that surfer guy who likes the gold coast, hes a half backman an often overlooked position but if you look at half backers who have won norm smith medal tells a story hodge, mcleod, johannisen

everyone outside Victoria hates vic centric media.

eventually a rebuild will succeed just might take time

Not at The Suns
We have a team full of them

Have another look. There are far fewer halfback flankers at the Suns than in previous years. You might even argue that we have a shortage. Scrimshaw, Kolodjashnij, Hall, Willis, Jaska, Spencer, Rischitelli, Rosa, all played there and they are gone. None of our recruits are HBFs, but I guess Ellis and GHS could play there and Rischa will be back.

I’d say a few of Dew’s selections show that wants more creativity out of the position. He mentions Hanley a lot for a guy who has only played there a handful of times. Ah Chee is a forum favoured HBF but I think his game against the Swans has coloured perceptions because it is an unnatural position for him and he is better suited forward. Jack Martin is another who can play there who is better elsewhere.

I have Charlie Ballard and Pearce Hanley as my starting flankers, with Harrison Wigg and maybe Jack Hombsch on my depth chart.

I could live with Rozee although I prefer Rankine. The Suns have needs forward and back, but also in the midfield. Both would eventually make it into the mid rotation, I’m more interested in later picks where we can get a brute like Hately or RCD. Jez McLennan is the surfie kid you’re talking about. I think we trade up to get him.

Where are you playing Weller?

Where are you playing Weller?

I will publishing my unofficial depth chart soon, which I am keen to get feedback on. It will be in the style of an NFL depth chart where players who can cover multiple positions are ranked in each spot. For example, I have Weller starting on the wing, but he’ll also rank at HBF.

Can someone answer this for me,Collins and Corbett will be on our Rookie List? But as per the new rule this year (I think) they can play Senior footy at anytime without a Player being on the LTI List?

That’s what the spots were created for. We asked for 3 spots for 3 players, but the AFL Commission met us part way down the road by only offering 2 spots and 3 players. They gave Carlton just 2 players and no extra spots.

To get onto the Senior List you must be either drafted, traded or signed in Free Agency. This was rookie listing Category A, which means they can be selected from round 1, just like Nick Holman.

He was at Commune in Burleigh a few days ago 100% with Young and Swallow.
Wasn't that like 2 weeks ago ?

Anyway I asked one of the players in the video if it was Rankine and just got a :thumbsu: back.

Who knows I just hope we pick him he's the best in this years draft IMO by a country mile

Just take him down the beach and let him view our beautiful beach babes, then remind him that it’s warm enough for the beach 9 months of the year. Won’t be able to sign the contract quick enough

I’ll see if I can find it for you. It was just a brief minute or so on one of those like road to the draft type videos, but I can’t remember who it was made by. I’ll check it out because yeah there is hardly anything around of him.

Thinking the SA teams will only make a meaningful push to get up the draft order if they can guarantee getting either Luko or Rankine.

As such they may hold off until draft night to see if they can do a trade up with either us, or with Saints if either one of those 2 are still available. I don't believe either SA club will trade up to get Rozee at 4.

As a result if the Suns decide to take both Luko and Rankine then any prearranged deals between Saints and SA clubs evaporateand the only deal for Saints to do (if they want to do a deal) is with the Suns.

4 + 46 for 6 + 24/29

Still gets them either M King or Bailey if that's who their targets are anyway.

We ensure we beat Port to the punch and get all 3 SA kids locked in for the next 10 years
