I think Walsh’s attitude to moving interstate, his attitude about loyalty and his leadership qualities mean he’d be worth a lot to us.

I’d rather 1 player that becomes a star and stays, than 3 that go on to be stars but leave after 3 or 4 years

Not interested in trading 2 picks to get him but he’s easily pick 1. Wouldn’t be sad at all if Carlton went Luko but that story about he and Rozee touring Carlton means little. Luko was at St Kilda today and Rozee with the Bullies. They are visiting different clubs.
Walsh would be gold for us.

Fair point ,what make you so sure that Walsh won't go back to Vic after 4-5 years chasing for success like Shiel , AFL are team sport , Walsh as a player in the team can only do that much. If the team is build around just him , eventually he will be like May gave up .

Need to build culture that buy in ( Team , Medical ,fitness , coaches , recruiters , facilities )

So just read on fox footy that Mav Weller thinks a move back to the suns can happen, saying he would definitely welcome the opportunity to play with his brother. I personally don't know if I want him back, since he's consistently dissed the club publicly since leaving (saying he was glad he was delisted by the suns), but at the same time he's kinda what we need right now. His manager's talking to a few other clubs right now and seems positive. On one hand I could see him coming back if Lachie gets in his ear enough, but at the same time, going off what he's said publicly about the suns in recent years, he probably prefers to play for an established club. But again, he probably won't get a game at most other clubs, so suns might be the contenders for now (at least until we know who other clubs he's talking to are).

Tbh I never wanted him back, and really didn't like him ever since he left and started publicly dissing the club, but after Lyons leaving and him being able to fill that void (to an extent) I dunno. Also the fact that there is more than one club he's talking to other than the suns, and yet he's still open to coming back (I mean, it's not like he only wants to come back because the suns are the only ones who want him). I'm leaning more towards no since the list has not been finalized yet, but the fact it might happen just seems weird and awkward. I could easily that the second we announce him signing, someone will put up clips of him dissing the club in the media.
 
I don't get why people keep wanting pick 1 for Walsh , if that was the strategy, might as well tank a few match and win the wooden spoon .
GCS gain pick 3+6 through the departure of May and Lynch, both spend more than 5:years playing for GC .

I agree - admirable but weird and self-obsessed.

The sort of self-obsessed guy that could just go I told you I was leaving after 2 years and I don't care what the club, supporters, teammates or anyone else thinks. Reminds me of O'Meara.

Oh wow, is it that obvious? And how is that relevant to what I said? I've been a member of the club since the beginning. I'm sure I'm not the only person who threw support around a new team and still supported their old team. But enough of this. I'm not here to talk about me. You have a problem with me being here than ignore/block or ask a mod to have me banned. It's not like I was dissing the club or any you so why create problems out of nothing?

Actually I wasn’t having a go at all. Thought maybe you just needed to update the colours and then it would be a true cause for celebration.
Every new fan that fully commits to our beautiful city makes my heart glow with joy.

no issue with you posting here, mate. bodsy likes to try to recruit anyone with opposition colours on that posts about our club in a good light (mainly those with suns listed as their second team). take it as a compliment.

Well I'm not here to celebrate. And you're not the first person to point this out, but I've been over this before; but in broad strokes, I have my reasons for supporting both clubs, and I can never consider completely making the switch until as long as I'm not living in your city.

Great summary of where my head was at. Any opportunity to expand our fan base is always one I keep an eye out for. I appreciate old mates positive tone about us.

People has had a problem with it in the past, which is why I don't post here much. He could've used different wording if that was his intention, or at least talk about what I had to say as well.
