Nah then i totally disagree , I look at Mccluggae ,Berry and Witherden their beams , zorko are GC Version of Lyons and swallow. Hodge is the guy that organise their integration between Mid and Defense . Well disagreement make it exciting in discussion.
Not sure Lyons and swallow are in the same conversation as Zorko and beams.

Are Armo ? Look Brisbane get beams at his best and he is still two years younger than Armo . Zorko is there when they first drafted him . Armo know St Kilda players inside out but I doubt he know the strength and weakness of Gc current Group , if Armo was a great leader then St Kilda should make the 8, GC not yet play final but St Kilda are in the same boat .

If we could get Beams or Zorko I’d take them over Armitage, just being realistic on who would be obtainable and who I feel could help us over the long run

GC are not starting from scratch as start up and need to play within the same rule as other team , no different to Carlton, St Kilda ,Brisbane . Anybody coming in need people to go out .
Disagree, with amount of youth we are playing atm we need experience within the group. Starts in the midfield, ours gets destroyed most weeks. You add more top end talent into that midfield with no experience and it’s detrimental to those young players development
Who ? You only have 22 spot in AFL team , other all play NEAFL , Barlow get 40 plus possession in NEAFL. You either best 22 or you are not , no point playing Armo in NeAFL like Barlow . Holman and Young are both playing HF today , and Lyons , Brodie , Swallow,Miller as inside mid with Bowes and Florini injured .
We can’t roll out with a midfield of Brodie Lyons swallow and Miller and expect to be competitive.
Are Brisbane competative last year , who did North draft or recruit last year (Hartung ,LDU ). Are st kilda having the same midfield as last year ?
Brisbane have beams and Zorko as a grade midfielders, they were falling down in their forward line and backline.
We did today and were actually competitive.

As the first quarter was horrible the second quarter was great. Yes, I liked the pressure even in the last quarter when it was over.
Most weeks we get absolutely destroyed in the midfield.
