No Sam Walsh?

Hately really does look like he has the body to become another Cripps, but I have real questions about his kicking.

From a Brisbane Lions perspective I'd love Bailey Smith or Sam Walsh with our first, Tom Berry with our second, and Lachlan Sholl with our third.

And trade our 2019 first or 2018 PP (if we get an early one) for Angus Brayshaw.

I hope we take him, if for no other reason than to make the Q clash even more interesting

Hately is hard to deny. Definitely my favourite in this draft. His kicking doesn't concern me as it's not woeful and he's a 192cm inside player. Wins it inside playing at 80kg against men in the SANFL so will be a beast when he bulks up. Love Berry at our second pick.

We need to overstock on genuine inside mid talent and hope one or two of them unearth as superstars. Hate how we ride our future hope on a few talented players currently because it often doesn't work out as planned. Play the numbers game.

I want both Hately and valente , what a combo , and Adelaide normally quite good at picking Victoria kids ,GCS need to go to the draft and pick 7 players hopefully 4-5 hit jackpot. we need to draft quality and quantity in this draft and slow down next year.

That is just a repeat of what you previously done all over again , get real spend time on your development. Give me one good reason why should GC draft king Twins who is from Victoria and KPP who take at least 4 years to develop.
One king already out for a full season because of ACL , going by GC injuries rate that is another problem adding to it .

The easy part (that we have nonetheless found it hard to do) is moving out players that are not up to it and replacing them with players with potential.
Then working on that potential so that it comes good (also something we have found hard to do).

The harder part is losing players that are up to it and then replacing them with players with potential. That is a recipe for getting younger and going backwards, and young and backwards we have gone.

My take on the podcast was that Hamo was saying if you traded in some mature B graders in a certain age bracket (Miles etc), that would get you up to 8th in a couple of years, which I thought they were arguing against.

If Lynch walks to the draft, you lose to which ever Vic team/s finish below you an you get nothing for him.

Sounds like you missed the bit about Scrimshaw being a probable bust and will be out of the Gold Coast before he plays another game for the Suns.

The way I see it with Lynch , GC Will not play hardball if he choose to leave . As for scrimshaw let see what happen, no point speculated a contracted player and he is playing Neafl when not injured , nothing like Scache play Neafl and went back to Victoria after extend his contract.
