I'm a big fan of trade our either pick 2 or 3 with Adelaide for a mature body plus their first back. They get Lukosius or rankine, we get something for the now, and something we can work on . ( please note: when I say mature body, don't send David Mackay)
Who will you target from their list that will like to come and help GC ( Willing to come) ,current they have pick 8 and pick 12.

Any names (please don't say Cameron Ellis-Yoelman)?

So AFL Draft Central are making a mid season mock draft which may or may not get released to the public and I’ve been given your mob.

My reasoning for picks will be all about retainment and I could think of no better player to allow that than Sam Walsh. It looking rather midfield heavy this year for the draft outside the top 10 so I’ll have a rough time trying to look at different types later on.

Agreed - Crows will only come to us if the Blues won't deal with them without getting our pick #2 or #3 as part of the trade
Suck , other club don't even want to deal with GC first on trade table .

Don’t come to Shitney supernova_ while the money may be better the housing market ( renting and buying) is outrageous and disproportionate to the wages and getting around the city is a nightmare. I will be returning to the GC as soon as I can land a decent job

Becoming a meter-maid at Surfers has to be better than living in Lane Cove ……. :p

Agree. Hold him and Scrimshaw to their contracts. Don't doubt the process and stop going back to the draft. Back their development. Brodie showing enough signs to tell us he'll be a gun for the future

If Brodie & Scrimshaw were to be traded, as a hypothetical, what would you suggest the trade price would be ??

Under contract, 2 x top 10 picks from 2 years ago. Honestly i'd expect us to ask for 1 - especially seeing as Brodie is the exact type of player we need right now and he's progressing really nicely

I may have mentioned this before, but what do we think about Dom Tyson?

Can't crack the Melbourne midfield. May be looking for more playing time?

Is he the next Lyons or the next Hallahan?
He’d improve our midfield now, but his disposal isn’t great. Not sure we’d want another Hallahan

Would have to first round picks similar to what we paid for them, they will have had 2 years of development which is was clearly known they would need when drafted before they would be ready plus they still would have 2 years left of their contracts.

Happy with the Walsh pick

For other picks the other needs I see are:

- midfielders with inside/outside game
- genuine 3rd tall /high half forwards
- forwards with genuine goal kicking ability (all our current small forwards are pressure types that lack innate goal sense)

Well if Carlton have the first pick why would they deal with us?

Maybe Blues won't entertain a trade of #1 unless they are able to still stay at the pointy end of the draft. In which case Crows may deal with us first in order to get the pick they need to facilitate the trade for #1.

Along the same line of when GWS wanted McGrath or Taranto in 2016 and kept trading up a few spots, and the Lions traded back from #2 to #3 to get a late 1st / early 2nd rd pick

The mid first round pick I took Jye Caldwell who fits that inside/outside position. Walsh also rates him so I could see him sticking around with Walsh up there.

I highly doubt you would get #1 even if you asked for it, the Crows would trump that deal in seconds given they want Lukosious.

In fact I am struggling to see how two players with only 10 senior games between them is worth two top 10 picks as well.

I accept that supporters will over-rate their players somewhat but these seem rather unrealistic to me.

Depending if they think they can the same player back in the draft, if there’s an outright number 1 player good luck getting that pick

That is why I asked you what you can offer , some questions just better don't ask than asked .( Keep to yourself)

As said previously said, it would have to be an offer too good to refuse, like pick 1 (obviously wouldn't happen). I don't think anyone wants to see the two former top ten pick leave with two years left on their contracts.
