Just dealing in the world where people with good sources are saying he is getting a deal to come back next year - make the best of it and at least clear spots on senior list so we can draft players for the future

Genuine question why you like player that look cooked this year or had bad injuries history .Straight swap for Hannerbury

they would be the logical team to chase and need himNorth Melbourne could do with some outside run? Any clubs confirmed interested?
Anyone we like from nm?
Depending on draft plans I would swap for McKay (doubt they would)
Potentially we could give a pick plus hall for mason wood (also doibt they would)
Hmm maybe. No way. If Witts was in a better midfield he's be a top 5 ruck in the competition . We just haven't had enough strong midfielders to take his hitouts and turn them to clearances.
Josh Williams was pick #36 in 2016. Suns Academy player taken by North Melbourne. 189cm 77kg 20yoNorth Melbourne could do with some outside run? Any clubs confirmed interested?

Witts is in the top 100 players in the AFL in terms of raw stats, but his technique lets him down. Should be given credit for vast improvement lately that has seen his stats dominance go down while team clearances have gone up.Hmm maybe.
I get the feeling he is quite limited in terms of where he hits it.
Be very interesting to see some stats about direction and distance from the stoppage.
When he has a major advantage against a dougal Howard, Shaun grigg type he just seems to drop it at the foot of the pack.
Even if we get our hands on that it’s pretty hard to extract. Don’t think he hits out of the immediate area to advantage very often.
Is Preuss better than Witts , I rather Hall + Nicholls for Preuss . Witts just need to practice his set shots and field kicking .Hmm maybe.

People often overlook how long it takes for a ruckman to develop. Even Ryder and NicNat took years to develop and they are not young anymore. The question is, how many rucks do you want on the list? Right now we have Witts, Wright, Crossley, Day and Leslie, which is such a versatile ruck group that they could all play in the same 22 (4 of them did in Round 14).Witts one of the best young ruckman in the league , will get better.

I knew there was one I was forgetting. Tommy Nicholls has copped a lot of flak, but I think he was developing into a decent ruckman. If he can put his athleticism, talent and ruck skill together to consistently perform above average he could be a starting ruckman somewhere, but this season he had terrible luck by being fit for the beginning and having an injury which has knocked him out until the final rounds. If he does come back in the NEAFL it will be good for him as an individual and great for the prospects of the NEAFL side trying to impact the finals as they are operating without a recognised ruckman because Leslie is playing Fullback. I would also say that Peter Wright would be ahead of Nicholls in the pecking order and Crossley is the form player of the lot.Right now we only have the 2 rucks on our list in Witts and Nicholls the rest are forwards who pinch hit , think that’s a nice balance how we have it.

Only 6 players from across the 6 NEAFL Academies! And 25 from Vic Metro, including Max King who has just done an ACL and didn't play in the Nat Champs. The Allies had 6 players in the U18 All-Australian team to Vic Metro's 5, yet the Combine didn't even bother inviting Caleb Graham who is better than most of Vic Metro's over rated team. Vic Country couldn't win a game all tournament, yet had 19 kids invited.Koenan in but not Graham .

Or Graham will be the next Powell .
I am the least upset , I always said not all Club see players as supporters do . They need to look at their overall list need. How many KPD they need , do the current KPD worth Keeping or Delist for Koenan /Graham type to come in .Only 6 players from across the 6 NEAFL Academies! Seems like a cynical exercise, sort of saying "have a look at this candy, but you can only have it if you make a crazy early bid and the club that has invested years into the kid strangely doesn't match the bid." Still, we shouldn't be upset because for those who've tracked Graham's career, he's going to be a star and the the fewer scouts who see him in position (he is currently playing as a ruckman in the NEAFL) the better.
