How do we keep missing players like him he's in his 1st year playing in his 14th game get thrown into the midfield for the first time in a huge game and get 14 contested possession and 5 clearances

You couldn't convince anyone to come that would warrant a top 3 pick.

If we are going full rebuild even less chance that we are offloading such a high pick.

Oh, I get that. I guess I'm curious about players that could get later picks or pick upgrades. We wouldn't have someone we'd be willing to trade who could get us an early first.

If Scrimshaw hasn’t got a game by now then he’s either a massive bust, he has attitude issues, is lazy or Dew thinks /knows he’s leaving and won’t play him.
Yes he’s building, yes he’s a project player, yes he’s building his tank but he’s in the NEAFL and we are playing some boys who aren’t close to being ready ahead of him.
It’s a mystery.

To be fair, Maysie completed high school at Melbourne Grammar. He was there for three years so it's not unreasonable to refer to it as 'returning to Victoria'. Jaeger O'Meara on the other hand, he had never lived a day in his life in Victoria but the Vic media just assumed he was Victorian

His partner is a local lawyer -would she uproots and move for a 5 year at best sporting career?

Lol my brother is a die hard Melbourne man who fell in love with GC after visiting once and was shown around properly (ie not Surfers Paradise)
He would move up in a heart beat if not for work.

The knock on Brodie was never his ability to pick up 25 touches a game. Hallahan could do that easily. It’s the disposal that hurts him. DE this year is 59% which can be misleading but his kicking isn’t close to being good.

That has put a twist on the Hall side of things , think we all thought he was on his way , but by that it sounds he wants to stay but it’s the Suns putting a halt on contract negotiations.
