We have to keep Darcy Macpherson he looked good in the games he played this year

We don’t have a clear cut 22 players so at least 23 players could be cut .

Holman looked better with MacPherson in the team. I think he needs to be promoted but who goes? For me it’s Leslie.

If May does not commit long-term you probably want to keep Leslie. I am probably minority but I actually like Leslie. When he played 4 games in a row, he was improving every game. He played only like 20 games.
 
Is Leslie better than Finlayson in NEAFL level ? Better than Mitch McGowan ,or Rory Lobb ?
All this are pick at 40+ apart from Lobb pick 29.

so, should we make enquiries with Gaff’s management to see if he would be interested in getting out of the limelight (perth and melb) and come to the suns? He would be able to walk around unknown up here even when he wins a brownlow for us in his first season

Was thinking something similar, but then what would you stand for as a man by those actions. Running away for money and anonymity. The fact he has fronted media apologised profusely, and perhaps derailed Eagles campaign. I think it might go the other way out of guilt, and he signs on with Eagles.

I reckon he would want well out of Perth. Will never be able to walk down the street again without being hassled by locals. Gaff is a quality player for sure though.

Reckon he ends up in Melbourne somewhere though.
 
Any of you see your club taking the King twins? Some people on other team boards and the draft board seem to think it's likely. I'd have thought that's a baffling decision.

Gaff and Jenkins would give us a boost but it ain't gonna happen. I'd put Hanneberry in the wishful thinking pile as well. At some point we will snag a couple of prime players and then it's build, build, build.

Yes, wishful thinking by other boards so they would get who they hope for. I don't expect trading pick 2 or 3. Suns will get the best talent. For me pick 2 Walsh or Lukosius. Pick 3 Rankine.
 
If we beat the Lions, decent chance we finish with pick 4 so any potential Lynch compo would be pick 5.

Would change a lot of things.....

And we would be a chance to beat the Lions at home. Always have a chance in that game, as they do against us.

Would prefer Bailey Smith over Rankine. Seems like an absolute workhorse who would drive standards internally. Doesn't seem to be an actual consensus as to who is the best midfielder between him and Walsh yet so if we miss Walsh i'd rather Smith.

Walsh is rated ahead of Smith by the vast majority of draft watchers. Walsh is in contention for Carlton at #1.

Agree, pick 3 could go with Smith, one of King brothers other option. It looks to me Carton may go with Walsh. Great leadership qualities too.
