With McGovern handing in a trade request, if he was keen on a move would we look at him? Absolute no chance he ends up with us but it is fun to dream
Pretty sure you are tempting some Adelaide fan asking for Pick 2 or 3 from GC .

Wouldn't mind Kieran Collins as a rookie either. Looked great draft year
Was quite physically developed right?
Maybe just doesn't have whats required when he's not bigger than everyone else.

North trying to scare clubs off from bidding?

North have blown their load too early.

A decent club would have waited until draft week and then have the kid get stung on a drink driving charge and not leave the other clubs enough time to work out what was going on.

BTW I always thought he was a pretty BOG average footballer anyway.

i'd hope not. if we get casboult for any of the young victorian kids we've drafted in the last few years that's gonna ******* do my head in.

Hahaha - it would be a free hit to get him. They would have to give us something to take him.

Jaska was going well in the NEAFL, but with Ballard outplaying him early on and then Koenen and Graham replacing him later in the season, I reckon the list management team have seen as much as they need to see. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up on Geelong's rookie list being a former Falcon.
Barlow's injuries and age kept him sidelined and playing NEAFL. He was so slow that letting him go was a mercy.
Willis did his ACL and that was all she wrote for him unfortunately. The exact opposite of what kind of season he needed to have.
Last is Max Spencer, who has a lovely boot and poise in D50. He is our first Academy selection to be delisted, but you wonder if he might be able to play his way onto an AFL Rookie List through the NEAFL in 2019.

Jaska will end up at the Cats next year - either rookie list or VFL top up player

Causbolt would be fine as a stay at home forward inside the 50 for a few years while Crossley and co mature, would straighten us up as a dump kick which we seem to love. Can also play in the ruck as a chop out for 5 mins a quarter. Let Wrighty lead up and leave Causbolt one out to clunk the contested grabs. Get Drummond to teach him how to kick the pill.

Mitch McGovern I'd give up WCE's pick at best. KPF best suited to Adelaides forward line where he gets the third best defender and has only ever at best gone at 1.3 goals per game average. pass

He's also 24 so it's not as if he's a 'young developing' KPF

Can’t move out of the square, otherwise he’ll miss

As bad as it sounds we could have used him in the last few rounds of the year when we had no talls left to play.

But the priority should be to develop 2MP and Crossley. Given his end to the season I'm not sure how Crossley doesn't start in the 1s with 2MP.

Be OK insurance if 2MP or Crossley goes down + gives structure to NEAFL team to at least have a key forward to kick to

Max Spencer actually isn’t our first academy player to be delisted... I think you will find Andrew Boston and Jarred Ellis beat him to that.

Why, get rid of Barlow and bring in a spud like Levi. This club baffles me sometimes

Barlow was just too slow. He was spend. Casboult is a smart move for me. Won’t be a list clogger long term as he will be there two years tops which is enough time for Crossly and Wright to develop further. Take a note out of GWS book.. were Cornes, Power, Brogan and McDonald list cloggers? No they served a purpose for the juniors to earn a spot

Of course not they are a start up club during that time , GC already have 8 years history , you can't compare a start up and a total rebuild , Sam Day is your Casboult, spending 8 years with the club already . I rather Roughead than Casboult , a utility that can play Forward , Ruck and CB .

I don’t think it’s a rebuild it’s a full reconstruction from front to back... realistically we have the kids but need some big bodies there to help. Casaboult fits that mould

Nah Roughead fit that mould , with strong leadership quality and versatility. So far you don't heard any complaint about Sam Mitchell , Lewis and Hodge . You need players that can organise your structure , Casboult can't even do that for Carlton .

Roughnead is a bridge to far... Casaboult unfortunately is more realistic for us
Then I rather go for state league players like Podsiadly type . Casboult is a player struggling to get into best 22 with Carlton and compare to Waite he is pretty slow , I think Waite did more with North than Casboult with blues .
