Realistically unless you can convince Carlton to trade pick 1 (and with SOS in charge that seems unlikely) I'd imagine Lukosius probably won't be a Crow come 2018. Rankine though seems like he could slip through to your first

The talk is carlton would take walsh with pick 1. Therefore pick 2 is likely to land lukosius. He would be a great get for you guys (as he would for any team). I wonder if 2 mid 1st rounders and a 1st team player would tempt your club into doing a deal?. You still have pick 3 if you take the tom lynch compo

If Adelaide get pick 1 from Carlton and choose Lukosius /Rankine . I think GC will go Walsh /Smith or Lukosius /Walsh combo .

I would rather Walsh over Lukosius if given the choice of the 2.

I have no problems with Adelaide taking Luko with Pick 1, and picking up Walsh and Smith with 2/3.

Smith was the vic metro right? That’s gotta go a long way when we’ve trying to build a culture. Touk is no world beater but he’s got the loyalty and leadership we need. Not sure rankine has that

Smith was VC, O'Halloran was C (rated 10-25) - I like O'Halloran FWIW

Heard on a podcast that Smith said himself he would prefer to stay at home - if he is a risk as well then at least let me take a risk on the best player, especially if we are getting his buddy from high school as well to help with the transition.

At some stage you need to roll the dice on a kid that pull goals out of his ass when nobody else on our list can.

Smith has a good balance of inside/outside, with neat disposal - maybe Luke Parker like

I think Rankine could be as impactful per possession as Rioli and get more of the ball (i.e. better than Rioli)

I saw that. The questions were a joke saying how good it would be to go to a club like Carlton that is on the way up. He just played it straight. No mention of if he’ll want to go to the suns and how good that will be

Just catching up on footy podcast David King said on Tuesday's Sen afternoon show with Andy Maher that he hope the afl don't give the Suns and Carlton the same concessions.

He thinks Carlton should get end of 1st round pick.

And he thinks Suns should get start of 1st round so Suns have
Pick 1,3 and 4 (Lynch compo)

I agree with this and the Suns should be given #1 as the blues were when Richmond finished last and Carlton got a PP which they selected Kreuzer over Cotchin with and traded their #3 for Judd

Carlton's situation is a result of them trading out quality players for draft picks to rebuild
Gibbs
Henderson
Tuohey
Bell

and getting rid of players like
Garlett
Robinson
Waite
Betts

Mismanagment and deliberate selling off

Still think Martin is our player that can do that. Problem is we are rarely in a position to allow him to do that. Having two players of that ilk would be great though.

So I did something I rarely do and cruised an opposition board- in this case St Kilda
Their supporters feel Mav is worth our second rounder(pick 20 for those who can add 18+2) or a direct swap for Jack Scrimshaw who apparently is desperate to get to Moorabbin
And there I was thinking Mav will be delisted
