Let’s just meet in the middle and say he wants to come to the Gold Coast.
We'll happily trade you Cam. He'd be a good fit. I don't get the Sydney fit, tbh.

I reckon you'll end up with 2, 3 (Lynch), 12 (to be traded PP), 15, 26, 29, 38 and 41 (the last four picks probably dropping due to PPs).

We'll have 8, 11 (McGovern), 14, 22, 26 (McGovern), and 39.

Two questions.

Would you want to trade some of those picks into 2019, so you don't have quite so many picks all in one year? It's a challenge to develop so many kids simultaneously.

And what would it take to get pick 2 or 3, so we can get Lukosius?
We have played the future pick game a few times and been burnt every time. I think the lesson has been learnt

I think we might be open to trading 2 or 3 but it should only be if the deal is too good to knock back.

I just can’t see the Suns passing on Lukosius at 2. Cameron has said at a recent members night we have a hole in our fwd line with Lynch leaving, but will fill that hole in the national draft. He also said afterwards after that we are very keen on Lukosius.

With the Blues reportedly firming on Walsh at 1, we would be bat sh!t crazy not to take Lukosius at 2 with all the hype surrounding him.

But if we do take pick 3 for Lynch, I could possibly see that pick being obtainable for an “overs” deal, which would secure you Rankine if you value him that highly?

What do you think he’d be worth nowadays? I was thinking late second / early third rounder?
If Adam saad was 25 I’d say an older fringe best 22 player should be 35+

Our pick #41 should do it. Bloke averaged 20 possessions in 2018, big body to take away some of the heat on our kids. Wouldn’t be the worst recruiting decision?
Agree

Can take a decent overhead mark too.

Lukosius will be the No.1 Pick...Headed to Carlton! Definitely

I thought Carlton were set on Lukosius? Wow,didn’t know they have the eyes on Walsh! So,apologies for previous post...If Lukosius is free at No.2....GRAB HIM SUNS!!

Your trade speculations are as busy as our board.
Understandably so. Just hoping that the List Managers for Gold coast & Carlton can collaborate so that we both get what we need to improve our respective sides.
Will be interesting viewing. Good luck to us both. We need it.

I think you need to know more about priority access regarding State league players rule first before gaving up third Round pick ( 38 and 41) , last year somebody like Tim Kelly , Liam Ryan and Flitsch all get pick up in Top 40 in open Draft 2017 . Yomen is out of contract , if he refused to sign contract extension , Carlton , GC ,sydney could sign him up in pre season Draft without giving up anything apart from lIst spot .

I don't think any collaboration will be required - you will make the #1 pick based on who you want, and we will take whoever is left in a 2 horse race.

I would be comfortable to not give up any further assets as both players would fit nicely at the Sun's.

We'll trade you our 1st round pick from West Coast for your future 1st round pick and we'll toss in pick #74 in lieu of steak knives.

My BS news ,GC will try to get Koenan and Graham as Rookie A or B ,or else will let them go to another club if the 40 senior spots are filled in ND draft .
Seriously, this is the 50th variation on Koenen and Graham you have posted. Cal Twomey predicts Koenen to go by the end of the 3rd round and that the Suns will definitely match the bid. He also said that he'd heard nothing to suggest Graham would attract a bid from another club, which would mean the Suns could take him in the Rookie Draft or even leave him to mature in the NEAFL if they feel taking Lukosius and Koenen (should that eventuate) fills the list's needs. However, since then the State Combine invitations have gone out, which means that at least 3 AFL clubs have nominated a player and Suns Academy pair Caleb Graham and Lachie McDonald have been nominated. It doesn't mean rival bids will come, but it confirms interest by 4 or more clubs in Koenen and at least 2 other clubs want to look at Graham up close.

Bailey Scott, Dirk Koenen, Caleb Graham and Lachie McDonald - in that order - are the most likely Suns Academy players to be drafted, although Brodie Foster has been consistently among the best in the NEAFL each week and Emmanuel Baru, by my calculations, kicked 16 goals and only 2 behinds in 10 appearances in the NEAFL (could be slightly inaccurate) while Harry Simington is another who would be deserving of a Category B Rookie spot.

It remains to be seen whether Jacob Dawson and Jacob Heron are retained as Category B Rookies or upgraded to Category A Rookies. If the former, then there is only 1 spot for an Academy project player. If the latter, Craig Cameron can fill the Rookie list with 1 Interstate League mature ager and 3 Academy players. There are too many variables to predict, but it doesn't mean we need to entertain the ridiculous.

Ha ha
I'm afraid that's a turd that will never flush lol
I have every faith that Carlton will bounce back into the finals immediately, all it will take is us making a trade contingent on another team's poor ladder position the following season and that team will surge into September. Even the Geelong 2nd rounder will skitter into the back half of the 2nd round if they beat the Dees, while at one stage the Essendon 2nd rounder was looking like a late late 1st rounder.

Oh for sure. At the moment we’re all just throwing things out there. Who knows what picks, players, priority assistance we’ll end up with in 6-7 weeks’ time.

Didnt I mention if 40 senior list spot filled ?
Can't you just take it that I see thing different than you , how many times you keep on mentioning Eagles will drop out of top 4 this year , and yet what happen . How many times you mentioned GC will keep Spencer and yet what happen .

So instead I should be more like you and GCTigersFan and just change my story all the time with no justification
? I never said the Suns would keep Spencer, I said they should. Large difference. Also, I didn't predict West Coast would finish outside of the Top 4, I hoped for the good of the club and value of our draft pick that they would. And the Eagles still can finish outside of the Top 4 if they lose to Collingwood because then they'd travel to either Sydney or Melbourne and more than likely lose which would give the Suns the best possible outcome for their pick at this stage of the season.

Don't try to twisted my word , did I reply to your opinion before this and said you are wrong ? I only reply to your comment recently because you are pretty offensive when people disagree with your opinion.

I didn't say you are wrong, I said that you have posted 50 times about Koenen and Graham and every time you change your story. I then explained the facts as I know them with some references, but it is obvious that you aren't interested in reality. I don't know if it is possible for you to find yet another prediction, but I'm sure you're already giving it a go. Good for you!

Did I mention BS Opinion in the first sentence before I mention Graham and Koenan name in that post ?
