Cats not allowed to trade 1st rounder this year
Can the Cats trade back in the 1st round though? Say pick #11 and a future 3rd for KK and the WC 1st rounder? Or chuck Horlin-Smith in for KK with pick exchange. Probably doesn’t need to be 1st rounders but it is worth the discussion.

We know Geelong like all their backs to look alike, so a couple of Kolodjashnijs would be ideal. Reckon there’s a trade there? Or are the Cats more likely to want a pure pick trade? #11 for the WC pick plus a 2nd or early 3rd?

I think you already get over swapping pick 11 for Pick 15-18 and KK . Swap 1 and get one free . The difference in class between 11 and 17 are pretty minor , eg Richmond ( pick 17 Jack Higgins ) vs ( GWs pick 11 Aidan Bonar ) in 2017 draft .

We have to let the past be the past and properly start from scratch - even if it means may and even swallow moving on.

Need to clear the smell of death out of the place no matter what the cost short term.

I’m sad to see May go, but crossley will be my new hero.. Goober For Life!

You defeated your own argument rather neatly there. The trade needs both picks and players.

The guy who set the foundation is just a phone call away he said he's open to it.

Looks like he's comfortable on the Gold Coast

Wish Tyler was an A grade AFL talent. Dude seems to love the GC.

I came here as an innocent 22yo for a 6 month stint and never left. I do not physically understand why players leave. I made my success here and live in paradise. It honestly makes no sense to me.

I can get the losing thing but its made out as if they are tortured being here. This is ****ing paradise people. The best place in Australia to live. Ugh I just dont get it but I live in gratitude for it all nonetheless.

Totally agree...came to the Goldy in 1985, loved it from the first day. Stayed til 2005 and then perchance met my future wife on a trip to Thailand, and I've been living in Thailand ever since. But let me tell you, who ever is out there, if you want to reside in OZ, there's no better place than the Gold Coast......and once the Goldy got their Team, I was in.....first cab off the rank....and been a member ever since......and as my ole man used to say....the only thing you get from looking back, is a sore neck.....we're moving on....and up....

With Tyler Roos living on the GC and playing for Southport tomorrow - Paul's in town I assume to watch and so left field thinking here. Surely the AFL should look at Roos coming on board as a mentor for Dew and even pay his salary for doing so. Convince Roughhead to journey north for two years and then immediately the club has some credibility and the much greater chance of getting experienced players and young kids to want to come up here and stay! If I can see this why the f... can't the AFL who have been ominously quiet while all the gutting has been going on. It can take as little as one year to turn things around with the right image, players, support and coaches. It's not dark yet but it's getting there so time to pull up the blinds.

I think the "Pick Tasmanian players to avoid go home factor" experiment can be closed off anyway
We can’t even stop Queenslanders from leaving, and most don’t see the need to come back if they're drafted interstate anyway. Need to create the best footy club environment to make them want to stay, and a winning team is the best way. We’ve already got the best physical location of all the AFL clubs. Glorious day today.

Are you saying you don’t rate the 13 degrees, hail, 50km sth wind, thunderstorms, rain and snow under 500 metres in Melbourne today? What’s wrong with you?:)

Exactly
So just take the best in the draft and stop trying to guess what a 17yo is going to do in 4 years time
