Scrimshaw /KK replacement .

Brett Bewley (Williamstown)- invited to 2018 state Combine
Free of the puppy fat and two years separated from the VFL development league, this Stuart Dew clone is emerging quickly and routinely thunders the ball 60 metres off his left boot. An NFL career beckons if an AFL one doesn’t eventuate. Bewley was particularly torrid in the past month, including a 41-possession effort on Sunday.

No way on letting scrimshaw out. Top 10 picks cannot be allowed to pull the “homesick” card after 2 years with f all in return. We do it here in 2 years time it will be lukosius etc and we’ll never get anywhere

Will be interesting to see what the offer will be.

If other clubs are offering late 2nd rd picks or less I think you hold him to his contract and tell him what the offers have been from the clubs, and that he probably isn't valued that highly by them either. Hopefully he can use that as fuel to drive him to be successful.

If the club can't hold kids after 2 years, with 2 years left on their contracts then they have some serious issues. Unless we are fairly compensated this is the easiest line in the sand decision in a long time.

Maybe we should just play in the vfl. Then we would all have vfl players

I read on here that he was fully committed to staying with us only just recently.
So if the rumour is true then I think it would be the club’s decision to get what they can get now.

Either way Scrimshaw,Powell , Shoenfield playing in NEAFL anyway , i got you .;). Maybe we should play in Tac Cup with the amount of Tac cup (Prestia , Caddy, Lynch ) want to go home .

Rumour board saying Jack Lukosius held a meeting with us and told us he has no interest in joining us and pleaded for us to not pick him in the draft.

we've apparently reported his management

I afraid I am the only one that think if Scrimshaw really homesick , he should let go by GC. Rozee can replace him .

With better facilities and second chance I hope the state league players GC pick will be better than previous year .
True. Sometimes these kids have things going on at home that make them want to be with their families... not always just a case of tantrums and mummy's boys

Superdraft ( Kids that want to stayed at home ) .

I think the referrals about the list quality was from Gerard Healy he said it’s worst list in the competition
Terry Wallace also said it was the worst midfield he'd ever seen. At the start of the season, the Suns and Eagles lists by comparison of age groups and games played (eagles in brackets):
6 x 18 yos 39 games (3/3 games) Suns blooded 5 of 6
3 x 19 yos 25 games (7/37 games) 2 played in 2018
9 x 20 yos 212 games (6/37 games) 8 played in 2018
2 x 21 yos 49 games (3/125 games) 1 played in 2018
6 x 22 yos 285 games (5/160 games) 5 played in 2018
3 x 23 yos 240 games (0) All played in 2018
1 x 24 yo 97 games (3/181 games)
7 x 25 yos 573 games (5/669 games)
2 x 26 yos 226 games (3/306 games)
1 x 27 yo 103 games (3/526 games)
0 x 28 yo 0 games (2/372 games)
2 x 29 yos 369 games (2/323 games)
1 x 30 yo 141 games (2/469 games)
1 x 31 yo 207 (1/219 games)
1 x 32 yo 236 games (0)

Observations: 1 player in each of the first 5 age brackets did not play. The youngest 30 players were 24 and under, with 25 of them playing Senior football. That group have 947 collective games.

In comparison, West Coast had 27 players in that Age bracket with 543 games experience, however, their 25 players under 24 have only played 362 games.

In the 24 to 26 yo brackets, the Suns have less experience, but with some traded players coming in the Suns will catch up inn this area for experience.

In the 27-28 yo brackets, the Suns have one player, Aaron Hall, who is now leaving. In contrast, the Eagles have 898 games worth of experience in their 5 key players in this group.

In the older group, the Suns will lose Rosa and Barlow's experience, with Rischa moving toward retirement, while Harbrow and Hanley have to cover for the lack of experience in the upper age group.

In conclusion, the Eagles have a massive amount of experience in the right age brackets and hit their window at the right time. The Suns clearly lack players over 26 because of the fact that the club's foundation draftees are only hitting this age bracket in 2019 and the recruitment policy has been to invest in youth. In in next 2 seasons, the Suns oldest
6 players will likely all be gone and the next 20 players will have moved into their prime, while the youngest 20 will be the most experienced in the competition. The major impediment to this is how many players are traded or delisted.

Gromma - any truth to this?
Yes, options are presented to players every day

Saying he “requested a trade” isnt exactly the right phrase. Its fair to say that mid season both Brodes and Scrim were frustrated not to be selected given the circumstances at the time. Brodes got his chance and thats all he needed. When Scrim didnt get his, it opened the door for other clubs to come in and present options. Why he would be 5 out of 6 weeks an emergency makes no sense to me but nothing signed at this point I believe.

Or they simply don’t rate the list.
I believe you are spot on there. Rebuilding the list seems to be the way they are going about it and what needs to be done. We need more players like the Miles and GHS who are going to come in every week and give 110% every quarter. Not this crap we have had for the last 3 years of playing one good quarter for the game and not trying the rest of it. We need foot soldiers who are going to do the same job every week, cause we don’t have much reliability in the team atm

I hope we hold him to his contract and he gets the chance he wants with us next year and wants to stick around long term, hopefully hasnt got one foot out the door

To be fair Scrimshaw not even given a chance to play one quarter of AFL . Either players are injured or just fitting themselves in new environment.Eade transistion to Dew .

I still believe the club are looking out for his best interest, if he's not ready then he's not ready. we all saw him blow up last year as he didn't have the tank to compete. If that hasn't been communicated by the coaching staff or Scrim just thinks he's deserving regardless then someone needs their heads knocked together.
