I still believe the club are looking out for his best interest, if he's not ready then he's not ready. we all saw him blow up last year as he didn't have the tank to compete. If that hasn't been communicated by the coaching staff or Scrim just thinks he's deserving regardless then someone needs their heads knocked together.

That's why I am into mature age players , if they are not good enough just delisted them after two year , waste time getting top 10 pick and paid over for them to stayed for another two years .

Never minded Hombsch as a player. A "B grade" and less costly replacement for an A grader in May, but better than throwing a youngster in the deep end.

Looks like May is gone as well.

Could we end up with picks 2,3 and 5 from Melbourne via Fremantle from the Neale trade?

If yes, I'd like Lukosius, Rozee and Smith.

Im leaning towards the King Twins.. Bailey Smith or Rozee with the May pick. I wonder if KK would be looking for a fresh start if we picked up Jake with a pick in the 40s

trade radio quoting the Melbourne Demons rep stating the Hogan to Freo, May to Demons and pick 6 to Suns is something they are looking at. This may be old news but to me it sounds like it is well down the track

I have said this before but those 2 teams get guns and we get a speculative pick. Its almost getting to the point we should all have a Melbourne team and a second tier team (the Suns)

In perfect world i want to hold onto scrim.
But been hearing about him wanting out for last 6months.
Think its a given.

I aint interested in king twins and if both SA boys dont want to come here.. its not worth us having picks 2-3 because we’ll end up with the 7th and 8th best talent

I don’t mind that. Played well for port a year or two ago.
Hardly see any port games so not 100% sure the deficiencies in his game, Matchu, any local knowledge?

**** these kids. Draft whichever ones we want. Don't let them dictate terms. If they do decide to do a Caddy, then drive a hard bargain if/when the time comes. Give them a couple of years to grow some balls and perhaps sample how good life on the Gold Coast is. History shows the SA boys in particular don't seem to miss Adelaide. I'm not particularly interested in the King twins anyway (talented but one already with an ACL and both very skinny; also who's to say both don't ask for a request home when the time comes?), and we need mids / runners. Lukosius, Bailey Smith and Rozee would boost us immensely.

We had a chance to keep Lynch and May, but the club was not good enough.
Most of us have complained about the old coach, the old fitness regime, the old footy boss, the old list manager...
and we all know the facilities were a joke for 7 years.

For mine, some of these players leaving is on us.

Of course, for some players it is about moving to Melbourne or back to family pretty quickly, regardless of how the club is going. But all interstate teams have that potential problem with interstate players.

As Gromma has mentioned a few times, we have also had a lot of upheaval this year. The new regime needed to change a lot of things, but I doubt everything has been done well.

Time for a big reset and go again.

The best news, and it bears repeating, is that we seem to have a core group of young guys ready to do what ever is required to make the club a success. I am on board for that. Just used up a lot of patience already. But pretty sure I have a bit more lying around somewhere.....
