I am disappointed with Camrons comments on Scrim, “encouraged to look elsewhere “ “would play his best football in Melbourne “

Either we are a nunnery were all we care about is the players poor feeling or they don’t think he is going to make it. Just another poor effort from our club
I just don't think they rate him Iva. But can't say that publicly and expect a good return.

Dewey ‘s game plan looks to me very Sydney-like in that it is very much hard-won contested possession based. Maybe they don’t think his playing style / body is suitable to the bash and crash nature they need?

I'm not sure about that. Sydney's system has featured a player that isn't required to do much defending for years, with their primary job being to distribute. At the moment it's Lloyd. Before him it was Malceski. Without being in the inner sanctum it's hard to know definitively I guess.

GHS won the cats Clubman of the Year award
Won't even mention my delight that their B&F winner wasn't one of their extraordinary midfield
Ablett wasn’t even top 10

Were you more disappointed with Cameron's comments or Weller's comments on trade radio last year [emoji51]

My mum once told me if you can't say something to improve your bargaining position in a trade don't say anything at all.

Only way this comment helps is if he is trying to flush out more buyers from the Melbourne clubs to drive up the price.

Both comments are baffling aren’t they, we have history with this, remember the Harley WILL be traded at the end of the year press conference, just invited Freo to say here’s a bag off chips for him.

Because he is a FA , technically Cats try to get something like pick 41 for him. Let said what GC do with pick 38 and pick 41.

Turn out ok with Florini .

The bag of chips ended up being Fiorini and Bennell played 2 senior games in 3 years. Turned out in our favour but agree at the time it seemed unders

Maybe Dew doesn’t see KK or Scrim as the man to distribute out of defence? I know he’s still an undrafted, unproven kid, but that Connor Rozee shows a lot of toe and a great kick. Would be nice to draft and groom him for the role, with Hanley to mentor and help develop him.

Jenkins, Seedman, Betts (Victorian), Cheney, Lynch in our current best 22. Pretty good number.
Better tell Kyle Cheney to prepare for a massive 2019. He played 0 senior games in 2017 and 8 this year. He’ll be delighted to know he’s somehow in your best 22.

Kk has no peripheral vision and has been told to look elsewhere as has the one way runner Hall. Neither offered a contract. May is still at the club

So basically as it stands we are losing Uncle Tom and you MM

Over the years you have also lost Bock, Tippet, Lever, Dangerfield all in their prime and the list goes on. You ask us to imagine how bad it would be if we had more good players well I ask you to imagine how good your list would of been if the above players hadn’t of said GAGF.
Eh-em.....Jack Gunston anyone?

Need to be the interceptor to move the ball quickly. Rozee looks to have a great leap but generally not going to be the one intercept marking

Rozee versatility impressed me , HF,HB not a problem .

I've long said you should be loading up on the SA talent this year. It's a deep group, even late or as rookies there'll be decent players available. Get them all over there together and hope that works. And trade Steven May out for #5. Upgrade that to the Saints pick at #4 if you have to, just to make sure neither Adelaide or Port can get that pick first.

#2 - Jack Lukosius
#3 - Connor Rozee
#4 - Izak Rankine
#19 - Jez McLennan

McLennan is the one who'd replace KK and Scrimshaw. Good intercept mark and has league experience in the SANFL. Carlton are going to want them as well (to trade to Adelaide for McGovern) but beat them to the punch and get Shane McAdam and Chris Burgess in too. Become the third SA side.

I actually wrote the exact same thing on the St Kilda draft board last night. If you get 5 for May, you need to entice St Kilda (#4) to swap picks (I thought even our 25 or 29 to use for Hannebery given they have no 2nd rd picks), otherwise the St Kilda pick becomes the pick for Port (9 & 10) or Crows (8 & 16) to come hard at to get Rozee or Rankine.

The ace up our sleeve is that if I were the Saints I would prefer our deal as they still get access to an 'elite eight' kid and can also take their pick from all their local boys (King twins or Bailey Smith).

Haines also confirmed an AFL.com.au report that Gold Coast's three targets for its pre-draft concession picks were Josh Corbett, Shane McAdam and Chris Burgess.
This part interested me as well:

"The Suns have committed to re-drafting Rischitelli as a rookie, and AFL.com.au understands Brad Scheer and Harrison Wigg will also likely be shuffled onto the rookie list.

Hard-working midfielder-forward Darcy MacPherson is set to be upgraded to the primary list despite a broken leg largely ruining his 2018 season.

A fourth player might even be moved onto the rookie list to make more room, with Jack Scrimshaw, the No.7 pick in the 2016 draft, drawing little interest from rival clubs."

So possibly Scheer, Wigg and even Scrimshaw onto the rookie list, there must be more players we are going after. Also the article is slightly confusing around Pickett and Collins. Are we interested in them still? Will we pick them up in the draft as normal picks?

I don't think they'll push Scrimshaw onto the Rookie list. To do that, they'd have to delist him first, then other clubs would have a chance to grab him for nothing, which I reckon they would. That's how I see it anyway.

We can only afford this sort of play with a player we wouldn't expect to be picked up by another club. Maybe Nutting?
