Lysons ordinary season?

Averaged 25 touches and 7 clearences a game both the most of any Sun

:/
Yes, I agree numbers good but it does not mean he was great. He looked slower than usual, defensively not great. I believe he played better in his first year under Rocket.

Everyone’s gut feeling with May?
Too far gone for him to return? Got the impression from Cameron’s interview that they expect him to nominate Melbourne but want it announced now.
Whereas he shut journos down about Martin who is in exactly the same boat
I think he is gone

Ended up sitting next to his parents at the geelong game.

Think i remember them saying he was booked in for some surgery post season.

Could explain his sluggish movibg across the ground late in the season

I am pretty sure someone from Suns (Haines/Dew) mentioned ankle issue. Hopefully, he will take it to another level next year.

Seems he wants out and Suns seem willing to trade at the right price.

But he can’t request a trade until the Dees know they are in a position to get a deal done.

Just depends if or when Neale/Hogan deals go through?

Lyons definitely had some sort of ankle surgery. I remember seeing it on his instagram. His whole off-season has been spent in rehab as opposed to holidaying about and then getting surgery in preseason, so that's really good of him.

Assuming we get Tyson and GHS along with Miles, how does that affect our midfield rotations?

Tyson may cop some flack but he is a good inside mid. He's a taller version of Lyons.

I've been thinking about it and I would like Miller to return to that pressure forward role. Replace Lemmens there. He can still rotate through the midfield but I don't think Touk is really doing enough in there unless he's tagging someone.

We really need to try and preserve Swallow more. I don't mind him at half-back or forward. He's played there a few times and gone quite well.

So I would go for the starting centre bounce mids:

Tyson, Lyons, Brodie.

Guys to rotate in at stoppages:

Miles, Swallow, GHS.

Other guys to rotate in:

Miller

Was thinking this yesterday... Miller or Swallow in the fwd line with rotations on ball makes alot of sense. Huge upgrade on Lemmens and Swallow pretty underrated at marking.

We just really need to improve that bottom 4-6 players that get 0 -10 touches a game and have everyone getting there fair share of footy.

Swallows best season was when we played him off half back through 2014. Wouldn’t mind seeing him move back there again

Also disappointed that we didn’t inquire about Setterfield. Offer him good coin to come up. Former teammate of scrimshaws too and from the same draft class as Bowes Ainsworth and Brodie

I've been thinking about this alot. Miller is 22 so he does have some improvement left. His height and pace worry me, I think he is kind of close to his ceiling (would love to be proven wrong).

I think in truth Miles and GHS will play some NEAFL this year. Dom Tyson would be top 5 in the bnf next year imo

Wow four year deal , he better play well .

Wow Dom Tyson must be top 20 inside mid in AFL , move Swallow , Lyons , Miller out .
