So who are the players 30+ who are better? If you can do that you should change your occupation to AFL recruiting

Club like GC need to get better with injuries and development rather that just emphasize on top 10 pick .

Yeah you are probably right Cal was probably just try to drive up some social media traffic.

One minute cal is saying Suns are into the king twins next minute it's the SA kids then it's Walsh
Listened to Cal - saying that we would do 2 and 3 for 1 that because we need Mids we want Walsh and Blues would do it because SOS's wife and the King's twins mum are mates, so never mind the list fit for them as they have plenty of talls already.

Cal is talking without engaging his brain - walking contradiction

Is this part of your test experiment with us? :)
Kind of , people here keep complaining about picking the wrong first round pick or go home factor . Why not just get pick 30+ pick Touk Miller , Ballard and move on . If you are not confident in picking top 10 , why not start with 30+ pick .

I think cal is very overrated. I honestly don’t think he has as much as an idea as he thinks he has

Because clubs spend a lot of money a year scouting and chasing the top junior players. High chances are a player picked in the top 15 is going to have a better career then someone picked 30+. And what’s stopping a player drafted after pick 30 having go home factor? You make absolutely no sense some times

Bunn's comments totally defeat your logic about picks in the 30's.
Then GC should do what the opposite I suggested . Simple isn't it . If I said don't get Lukosius then Go and get Lukosius .

What is the probability that all the club have the same Top 30 pick ?
Pick 32 is just two spot out of contract top 30 .

Cal Twomey is the one with the most idea
Has AFL media backing so he gets great exposure as beingthe new age Shifter Sheahan.

He's usually pretty good, but needs to be a little sharper on trade radio to live up to that reputation as being the No. 1 draft guru.

And the 5 years part?

He isnt best 22 at Dees whose to stay he’ll crack our top 22 let alone a 5 year big pay cheque
Couple of points:
- The fact its five years is going to make it look big, regardless of whether it is or not.
- As others stated theres the come to GC premium involved
- 5 years makes a hell of a lot of sense if you have salary cap problems. allows you to backend the contract, and pay peanuts early (other reason you'd need to pay overs to get the player to accept that)

Cal Twomey is actually a really good media personality. What is it with human nature and their penchant for rubbishing anyone in the media or a high position at a club? Just makes you look like a sour peasant who has achieved nothing in life.
That is what I called Role play , somebody need to play villain for the other party to be hero .
