Could it be possible that GC wait until transfer period close to know that what other pick Port had ( Wingard ) rather than limited to pick 10,11 . Port and Adelaide could work their way up in the draft like GWS in 2016 for pick 2 Taranto by swapping pick with other club.

After the top 8, the next tier are all very similar. Someone at 10 and 11 could be as good as the 18 that we have.

Say we have 2, 3 and 5 and we go Luko and Rozee first up. Saints take M King at 4 and then we had a choice of Smith and Rankine. In live trading on draft night if Suns prefer Smith I would be making Port pay us something (future 1st) to move up to 5 to get Rankine.
