Carlton give up: Pick 1, Future 1st round, 69 and 71
Get back: 2, 6, 15 (Hawks pick for Wingard), 48

Port Adelaide give up: 6, 10, 15, 48
Get: Pick 1, 19, 59, 80,

Gold Coast give up: Pick 2, 19,
Gold Coast get: Future first round pick, #10, 69 and 71
Unfortunately your snookered - SA clubs would pay heaps for #1 but you would have to give up on Walsh, as Suns have no reason to give pick 2 to anyone.

Just this time of year?
Ha, it is frustrating being a Suns tragic.

I just want us to start being professional, this draft / trade period is a chance to stop being a push over
I mean people laugh as us about last years trade period, I want people to Fear us not laugh at us

Article on Fox mentioned not getting significant return for Scrimshaw due to cap relief.

Understand the cap issue but it's horrible business to just giveaway a young talent like Scrimshaw.

Is the cap relief quoted by a club source or just within the article? I don’t believe that’s the reason at all.

I can see Scrimshaw being a top 5 rebuilding defender after a couple years in the hawks system.
He’ll tear the Suns to shreds for the next 10 years

Can understand when you have cap issues and you have a kid on $400k for next 2 years who is no guarantee to be best 22.

Pity Clayton didn't choose a pro like Berry over a guy like Scrimshaw who... is being paid like a pro but just isn't one.

Mentioned in article. It's a article on Hawthorn getting Wingard and Scully and then there is a couple sentences on Scrimshaw.

I'm having issues linking. I drank too much at the boxing tonight.

But if he stays at the Sun's he's sure to be bust - catch 22

Future second swap with GC Richmond third round will do for me . GC academy players like Budarick ,Aston Crossley could all end up in that pick region .

Wouldn’t Hawks have to take over the Contract and continue paying him the same money??
They have options. They can restructure his contract. In some cases the club he gets traded for (us in this case) still pay for his summary. But given how low we appear to be trading for it seems mostly a salary cap dump. So just gets him off our books. I imagine Hawks will restructure his contract on a 3 year deal and we don't pay any of it.

No a unknown rule i heard discussed earlier last week on trade radio. Once a player changes clubs the contract becomes null and void the player and new club has the optuon to tear up the contract. Apparently was introduced last season.

Was just watching an episode of FootySA and Steven Rowe? Who's been watching the SA lads since they were kids was adamant Rozee will be the best of them.

I’m very disappointed in Scrimshaw.
I expressed during the pre-season that I was very concerned about Scrimshaw lack of growth over the summer and I got absolutely pummelled and told how wrong I was by stacks of Board Members.
I should go back sometime and see who they were. You should listen to Mr Bods people. My strike rate is quite good.
He had some setbacks during the season but nonetheless he should have gotten himself to a level where he was good enough to get selected this season.
He’s been paid incredibly well by us, in saying that I mean not just the club but us members all contribute to his salary.
Now he just seems to want to join the bedwetter list and go take the easy option.
It’s extremely disappointing.

What did Mrs Bods say? I think your strike rate only looks good because you listen to her :p;)

Ha ha TheSunGod Gold gold gold Gold.
She only knows our regular top 22 players. She has no idea who Scrimshaw is. Fringe players she doesn’t know from a bar of soap.

Doesn't matter. Just show her a picture of the Scrim and we'll get an honest, truthful assessment. Women's intuition is a powerful thing.

KK is a much better player than Scrimshaw.

Not flipping anything mate If you had keep reading this is what I said in reply to Bods question I'm happy to go and find the audio for you.

We all know you are close to scrim and it might be hard for you to hear someone in the media talk bad about someone you know personally put its very clear Scrim is struggling to adapt to being a professional athlete. it's got nothing to do with the Suns it's something he has to work on himself he can't blame others because he's lazy or not professional enough.

And on Your 1st claim I've seen Scrim talking to Matthew Lloyd at Suns open training in 2017 and 18 so you are wrong there.

And on your 3rd claim Lloyds was not criticising the Suns inability to provide the right level of support for a homesick kid.
He has said on multiple occasions not just when scrims family members call into trade radio and ask a question that Scrim was always going to struggle wherever he went.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
And that ok it's what makes these forums great fun.
One thing we should be able to agree on if Scrim does find his way to the Hawks we should know within 12 months if Clarkson rates him because he hates lazy and unprofessional players and will throw him to the curb quick smart.
“He pretty much needs 24/7 babysitting”. Yes, youre right, thats not a flip! Its just trash.

Of course you saw Lloyd talking to him for 5 mins in 2017 so that means he knows what happened since at GC.

You seem to have better insights than me so you would know Dew had his first one on one with Scrim round 19 and during exit interview he was told he just needs to get his body right and play more consistantly.

Hardly great communication or good reason not to play him when the entire team was inconsistent and certainly not what is expected from a senior coach given the task to develop talent.

But as Ive said before, I appreciate he had a lot on his plate and Im sure he will learn from it.

Never at any time has any of his coaches told him he is lazy or any issue with his work rate but you believe what makes you feel good mate! We will let next season figure it out but Im pretty sure Clarkson and Wright have a little more cred than you and me and you would also know they have watched almost every game hes played in the last year.

Ill take their opinion, you take yours is fine by me!
