sorry for the intrusion, but after Cripps saying what he did publicly (he may have thought it but he should have shut his trap and not blurted it out as he did), you guys can get some retribution by squeezing the Hawks for Scrimshaw and that will reduce what they can offer to Port for Wingard and that will hurt their recruiting strategy in itself
I think we as supporters would love that but the club appears keen to get Scrimshaw off our list. The kid clearly isn’t invested and hasn’t been willing to work hard enough.

I guess that's a way to stick it up to PA, but damn Victoria sure is sticking it up us at the same time
If I could come up with a way to stick it up ESS, GWS or Blues I would. Many other ahead of you guys in the queue. I don’t have a soft spot for anyone really but would like Harbrow to enjoy a bit of success with you guys

Think May going anyway next year. You get 3 guns this year and weight in numbers to get them to stay. Was more tongue in cheek at PA but didn’t think it was the silliest post I’ve seen (our boards not yours). I come in peace. Was just wanting to see reactions to PA comments really. 2nd time I’ve ever bothered leaving our own forums.
Oh and have been to GC many times along with Bris, Adel. USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji, England, France, Italy.... but not sure how relevant they are . Again, I did come in peace
That's an absolutely appalling proposition trade wise.
And your Victorian suburb?

You’re welcome to come and post on our board but that was a terrible trade suggestion for us.

We would value both May and Martin on their own as top 5 worthy.

On the open market they may or may not garner that much in real world trade but to us they are critical.

If may left next year we would likely get a top 4 pick anyway... and still have Martin.

Not sure rankine likely to stay no matter what we would do for him.

We shut you down in Peace also.

Thought Martin was on the outer sorry. Pick 4 more valuable it seems that next year. But as I said it was a bit of tongue in cheek just for you guys to give to the PA flog

He played 14 games and averages 19 positions and only 2 rebound 50s and 1 tackle a game that's very poor numbers in a low level comp.

He would have been very lucky to get a game for box hill Hawks this year.

Not at all mate it's just very clear who you are.
We have had a few people like you drop in to defend their boys in the past.
You can have your opinion that's fine I just don't appreciate you bashing the Suns and blaming them for Scrim poor development.

He's got no one to blame but himself for not being professional enough and asking for extra help if that's what he needed.
The 3 other kids he was drafted with have had no problems developing under the same coaches and environment so maybe he need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

Any kid would love to be in Scrim position it's time he mans up.
OK mate we get it, youre not a fan and you have your opinion thats fine! This is not about putting a point forward and making sure you win the argument its about care, understanding and consideration of all the detail which you dont really care about.

Im a person who can give you a good insight but if you want to win an argument take it somewhere else.

Three things...
1. Suns have put plans in place to fix what Im saying, yet you deny the problem and wont mention it.

2. Not once have I “bashed” the Suns yet you read actual facts as something else. Dont tell me what I mean or think and please read carefully...I want the Suns to succeed and I understand and accept the circumstances of why and how they acted.

3. 4 time premiership coach has watched all the poor performances (in your opinion) and wants him at his club yet you know better. I also know personally all the boys you mention. I just finished breakfast with Brodes Dad and cant wait to see all of them smash it next season. Great kids.

Good luck with your opinion mate but if you dont mind Ill have mine.

Keeping May and Scrimshaw not bad , so next year GC can use those free list spot for somebody else . This year just too much going on in term of list spot .

Supporters and the club would desperately want Martin to stay
Unclear to me whether he did really ask us to consider a trade or whether that is just heresay from Vic sources to get the drums beating to increase their chances in subsequent years. Either way our brass has emphatically stated Jack Martin will not be traded
No hard feelings.

Unfortunately you are correct.
I’m tired of seeing you arguing on here now, but you are right in what you say.

I can back this one up by another players account, one who we should be keeping that the coach has not spoken to since his last game for the suns.

Gun clubs are bending over for him and we can’t even call him up to chat...
It blows his 27yro mind.
They are young lads with egos, they’re brains are not built to go and find the coach and chat to grow, the coach needs to put effort in and go the extra mile to support them unfortunately.

This is a chink in our armour that I believe does need to be sorted out ASAP. I really don’t like writing like this especially about the club I love, but I also realise that to grow you need to be aware of your downfalls and better them. If the coach doesn’t want to do it, employ a young minded middle man who will gel with the players and discuss candid topics and how they feel and pass the info on.
Would do us a world of good and keep the coaches updated on their players thoughts and feelings.
Thanks Nernest yes I agree Im tired of it too so done on this subject after today.

I dont have any concern at all about the future of the Suns, they will get it right after a poor, tumultuous year in 2018. I spoke to the King twins today and my advice was to go to GC and look forward to it (if thats where the cards fall) as they have a lot of new plans now in place, great facilities and place to live and I have no doubt Dew will get it right!

Im happy to give him a break that he had a baptism of fire in year one with so much upheaval.

Suns have a lot to look forward to.

I don't mind Shrimshaw going , as long it is second Rd this year or future second , If anything less basically is not worth doing a deal .

I'll stop taking the bait after this but you keep saying you are reporting actual facts but in reality all you are doing is reporting information from a disgruntled player.
Let me remind you that same 4 time premiership coach picked up jonathan o'rourke

Gromma, as I have posted many times that I would prefer we keep Scrim and I am sure that the club has not handled things perfectly. But like many situations there will be 2 sides to a story.
You mentioned the club didn’t play him after they thought he was going home. Hmmm why would they think that, had Scrim somehow given them that message? It’s unlikely to be one incident. Didn’t Scrim change his social media to being a Hawks supporter directly before the finals and now he is going there? It seems unlikely that Scrim was giving his all and everyone was against him. Clubs are highly unlikely to move on a player that they invested so highly in, a top 10 pick without exploring every avenue to try and make it a success.

As I said every story has two sides. Is it possible that he was not 100% committed in attitude and work ethic as he knew he was going home and not seeing out his contract?

Whatever the full story is I hope he has a long and successful career

Thanks Iva, yes theres two sides and I appreciate how things might look to you but please understand, Im not here to sell him or convince anyone of his abilities, Im just here to make sure people understand the facts.

Thise facts are, he gave it 100%, had difficult circumstances, 100% wanted to be there but he did not get clarity on if they wanted him there or not. It was clubs who saw he wasnt getting played that opened the door and I think the Suns cap problem kept that door open.

No matter what you and I or anyone else says, the outcome will be something Im sure the Suns will learn and benefit from as too will Jack.

Hearing a fair few rumour's that the King Twins might be coming back onto the Suns Radar. How would that make the supporter base react?
I am actually like it . Is so exciting all this rumours for trade and live draft add a lot of spice .

Mate keep throwing up inaccuracies all day long. It says more about you than anything else. Hes not disgruntled! Where did that come from? Please read my other posts of today and move on.

Thanks for your input gromma,

Whilst scrimma hasn't worked out for us it has been great having you come here and give an insight to the club and its flaws. Ive heard other information that aligns with what you have said and personally really question the relevance of the club,
Despite that its also understandable others are not happy with scrims public handling of this today but you cant please everyone.

As a decent bloke i wish scrim all the best but as a suns supporter its the opposite.
Anyway thanks again.

Friend you are correct about relevant issues at the Club definitely.
Dew was given a horrendous debut year with Commonwealth games etc. No doubt certain things need to improve.
However personally l've never achieved anything worthwhile without pushing through adversity. I would like Jack to stay and persevere but it looks like his mind is made up. Which is a shame as he promised to stay until the end of 2020.
I hope he copes with the massive jump in expectation and scrutiny he will be facing.

Quick hypothetical. If the Hawks offer was to come in well under what we want and the deal fell over, would Jack be in a mindset to stick at it another year? Or has he checked out?

very concerning if true.

Accept our next years 1st plus Honeychurch and or Knives for May. Then toss our 1st rounder and Martin to Saints for Pick 4. There’s your 3 SA boys. Now house them somewhere nice living with “x” and keep them happy and stick it up PA
Cute story - 2 top 5 players for pick 4 - you must be having a laugh.
