They'll be unlikely to play together anywhere else. Would mitigate the go home factor.

Bloody hell. I don't get what's not to like about playing afl on the GC.
Surf down the road, new wave pool up the road.
That's where I'd want to end up if drafted.....and 25 years younger....and with any semblance of actually being a decent player.

Pretty sure we'll take the two best players and it won't be the King twins

As an example they talk about drafting better and retaining the players. FFS how’s many quality players have been poached by big clubs that offer payment outside the cap like hmmm making your sister the highest paid aflw player when she has no experience. How do you complete!!!!

Gold Coast are going through a tough time right now, but what a lot of these donkeys don't realize is that you've actually re-signed most of your first round picks the last 3-4 years, and are assembling quite a nice foundation of youth. I don't think Lukosius is anywhere near as likely to leave after two years as knobs like Lloyd believe.

Exactly, and if recent examples such as Ballard, Day, Tape are anything to go by then most SA players who move up here love it more than in their home state. Tape was even delisted and stayed on the coast and recently won a premiership with Southport. I don’t believe any of this ‘he will go after two years’ about Lukosius as
1. No SA player has ever left us to return to SA
2. Only one player EVER has left us after their 2 year contract

Matthew Lloyd is just mad that his own son supports the GC rather than his drug cheating, no final winning in 14 years, cheap shotting joke of a football club. We have won the same amount of finals in our history than they have in 14 years.

Heard that, what a campaigner. Guarantee you he's a dyed in the wool VFL knob. Most Brisbane fans want the Gold Coast to stick around, because even if we'd gain recruiting areas, the cause of Queensland football is greater than that. Plus having a local rivalry is better.

One Friday night on the radio during the finals Lloyd was teeing off on the club. His big quote was that Mark Evans was sent there to fix the club but since he arrived everyone has left. His inference being Evans has been a failure and we've gone further backwards....

I Called through after a session at the local and told them I wanted to tee off on Lloyd, I was on hold for eternity and then they 'ran out of time'.
He smacks of an ex footballer with very little intelligence and fails to research anything properly.

Today he goes on about we need to build a culture or else everyone will leave.
Again some basic research would show him that apart from Lynch (out of our control) the rest are being moved on to build that culture.
