Pardon the intrusion guys, but just a quick thought

Now that you have a hand of 2, 3, 6, 24 and 29, would you be willing to trade one of those picks for something that gets you some better depth in the draft?

E.g.

3 for 8 + 13 + future 2nd
or
6 for 8 + 21

I think we are now open but the price will be high, higher than what your offering here. We can pick 3 elite players so the deal has to be so good that we can’t say no

This year, draft pick trades can happen a lot closer to the draft, even on draft night.
No rush atm unless you need to trades picks for players.

Clubs need to sort out list spots as well. We might keep a couple of uncontracted, we might delist them.
One thing is for sure, if we want to move 3 or 6 we will be able to.

I’m not in a position to say what would get the deal done, just that we are very happy with our trade hand and very unlikely to move a pick unless as I said it was too good to say no to.

I will ask you if you had pick 6, and almost certain gun would you trade it out to get a later pick (16) when you don’t need it? As a guess an established very very good young player and pick 8 would be the starting point IMO

From an outside perspective , would have thought Witts would be a good choice as skipper. Leads by example, can help mentor Miller to be next captain and allow Swallow to concentrate on purely playing.

I’m dead against us doing any cute trading like what you are suggesting.
That’s great news for you because the club always does the complete opposite of what I want them to do.

I think list spots are the issue , if GC plan to take Lukosius and Rozee , other club need to ensure that and get Rankine at pick 4 or pick 3. Eg 2016 GWS swap pick 3,16 for pick 2 from Brisbane .

Would say we have maximum 4 spots to draft in young talent ! although very good at Maths am totally confused with all these numbers
being thrown around.
We "MUST" repeat "MUST" take picks 2,3 and 6 to the draft no matter what.
I would be devastated if we surrender to other clubs we don't need any more picks we just need quality.

OUT: 2019 GC 3rd + Lynch + May + Scrim + Kolo + 32 + 41 + 44 + 77 + Hall + 2019 GC 4th + 68 + 59 + 19 + 2019 GC 2nd + 2019 GC 4th

Pretty deflated tbh.

Take May and Lynch out of it, it's a positive trade period. Yes we lose 2 of our greatest "draftees", but I see what else has gone out and what we've brought in and it's 1000x better than what Clayton and Ashcroft in their time.
