Which is why offering 2019 1st is the sweetner to the deal.

You guys get two solid drafts to rebuild.

What you are missing is GC have 5 spots on their list, they have 5 picks inside 32.

So all your pick swap does is mean they lose the 2nd & 3rd best kid in the draft and are finished in the draft by the mid 20’s instead of the mid 30’s

As a neutral, if im Gold Coast im taking the 2nd & 3rd best kid in the draft and taking my last pick in the mid 30’s. Not moving back 4 spots just to end 10 picks earlier, not worth it at all.

Next years 1st means nothing the top 7 in this draft would be top 7 next year, so realistically it’s a mid first rounder (assuming Adelaide finish bottom 4) to a second rounder (Adelaide make finals) in comparison to a top 7 pick this year.

I’m Gold Coast I’m accepting that deal for 3 & 5 maybe, not 2 & 3

Don’t blame him. Will still have a year to run on his contract next year so like Martin he would attract a very high price for us to even consider moving him on but as is the current climate players more often than not get to where they want

They will still be bottom six imo next their so their 1st rounder will be low

Extra reason for us to barrack hard against them.

I think they could make the 8.
Wiuld suggest Richmond, Melbourne, west coast, Essendon and probably Geelong and hawthorn are comfortably better.. not so sure about the rest!

Pretty sure that's the plan.
Lukosius appears a lock at 2. We may trade 3 to an sa club that wants Rankine if we believe Rozee will still be available. Although I wouldn't gamble that. It's backfired on us before and now we watch Clayton Oliver and cry.

I was trying to articulate that we Carlton can hopefully turn it around as well....from some of your others posts, I can see all you are interested in doing is slamming opposition posters even if they come onto the GCS board in good faith, so I won't bother again.

I think we would look at it. And the deal seems ok. But really think we want Lukosius and one of the other S.A. boys .. likely Rozee so I guess this is a long winded no. But not an unfair proposal

Only way adelaide gets 1 of the top 3 SA kids is to get pick 4 from saints.

Suns want 3 of these elite 8 boys and adelaide can't facilitate a trade that still enables that to happen.

It just doesnt seem likely that the club will take the king twins now.
