So as it currently stands, the draft order is looking something like this.

CAR - Walsh
GC - Lukosius
GC - Rozee
StK - M.King
PORT - Rankine
GC - Smith
WBD - B.King? (or a trade with Port)?
SYD - Blakey (Bid, might be earlier)
ADL - Hately
Caldwell, Collider-Dawkins, Taylor, etc. in that next group.

No way am I moving out of any of these spots, unless it involves Ports #5, which I cant see happening unless Adelaide jump into #4, or us somehow getting #4.
Any deal with Adelaide would essentially be giving up Bailey Smith/Connor Rozee (3/5) for Jackson Hately (8) and a Xavier O'Halloran/Luke Valente/Liam Stocker (16).

I would be super dissapointed if we gave in and gave up a swap like that, let alone giving up 2 and 3 for a couple of firsts. If we want another pick around 16, surely we could just package up 24/29.

Excellent post , :padlock: it in . :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Too much mugging around for Pick 10 .
Sam Stuart ( Vic country ) , Ely Smith ( Allies ) is actually not a bad Alternative. I am not too keen on Marlion Pickett after Craig Cameron choose Collins, Corbett and Burgess ahead of him, a bit of Tim Kelly attitude will destabilize WA players Powell, Martin and Ah Chee .

My concern is st kilda don’t draft a king at 4 and go with Smith instead as there midfield is there biggest issue not there KPP players. We really don’t want to be left with both the kings and Blakey at pick 6 as I doubt we would want any of them as we topped up our KPP players with our mature picks in the trade period

You can trade pick 6 for this year pick and future pick , team like Geelong(pick 12) ,Richmond ( pick 16) I presume don't mind the King Brother and Blakey or maybe paid a bit over for Caldwell, Hately type at 6 . In hindsight I rather draft Berry , Witherden than Scrimshaw in 2016 .

Hey guys excuse the intrusion. I just wanted to congratulate the club on picking up Chris Burgess from West Adelaide which is my local club. He is a hard worker, great overhead mark and a very decent shot on goal. You've got one here believe me. He's been a bit of a slow burn and hasn't had the traditional route to an AFL club. But as they say the big men need time to develop.
Also good luck with the rest of the draft and wish you a brighter 2019.

40 senior,
4 cat a rookies + 2 (concessions)
3 cat b rookies.

My estimate is we have
5 senior spots
1 cat a
1 cat b

This is before we know what happens with lonergan and leslie.

I'm one spot different in my estimation.
I think we have 4 Senior Spots and 2 Cat A Rookie spots and 1 Cat B (although I'm not too sure how the rookie spots differ)
I reckon Ritscha, along with Burgess Collins Corbett (4 total)are Cat A.
We now have 10 vacant Player Nos. 2 3 10 17 19 20 33 34 37 and 40
Nutting 42 and MacPherson 44 take care of the last 2 namely 37 and 40.(for argument's sake) leaving 8 spots, with Brodie 41 taking Ritscha's spot 35.

Mile Ellis Hombsch and Horlin Smith take 2 3 10 17 and that leaves 19 20 33 34 to fill.

I think I got it right......

Yes you are partly right , I think due to May /Scrimshaw departure with a bit of salary cap space and 2 extra rookie A spot . One out of Sheer, Nutting ,Wigg , Nicholls could be delisted and re-rookie . If Somebody pick them up a bit earlier GC still need to include their salary into salary cap .

Edit if somebody pick them up they are off the book , but might get paid out from GC .

I got alot of faith in Scheer.
Good size
Tackles
Great mark
Kicks goals.

Was touted the next michael voss!! The

Just need his endurance enhanced so he can get to more contests.
He seems to give in easily.

That is the reason GC could relegated him to Rookie list . After two Pre season his endurance should be right up there.

Yeah Scheer does pretty decent with ball in hand.
Doesn't play with a huge amount of intensity.
Agree that he doesn't get to enough contests.

Has he kicked a few in the NEAFL

1 career goal in the AFL currently

3 behinds
3 GA

People need to know that Sheer , Wigg , Nicholls if delisted and re-rookie by GC still get the same paid as their contract .

High performance thing.

They should be chasing chickens or sheep around a oval
Get some intensity into them haha
How I hope Schoenfield Endurance transplant into Sheer and Sheer other skill transfer into Shoenfield .
