I think so , get the GWS pick use it on Bytel or the ruckman.

The trouble with 37 , you might get someone to slip but I think for a player that could really suit us we are pushing it a little. The pick is a little far away with all the matchings and I don't mind trading with a GWS and doing a little reach for a suspect Bytel for example.

At the end of the day you have to be in it to win it and lifes about seizing opportunities even if some do not come off.

Well if we thought the players around the mark in 2018 are better than the 2019 equivalent we should do it really. If it helps the Bulldogs with West so be it.

Its in our best interests to trade it out, trade Hopper for the 2020 first pick, so we don't have to pay top dollar for MR jnr.

I think we're assuming a lot to say two years out MJ will be a R1 pick.

Hoping we grab Bytel next. Might be a longshot given we've taken a project in RCD but I still have hope. Our medicos voodoo magic would have him lining up round 1.

Would love Bytel but I reckon Essendon will snap him up if he even gets to their pick 36.

The club recognises the need for running backs, so Tom McKenzie or Will Hammill could be on the cards, although they might both go earlier too, especially McKenzie.

I'm really hoping we take Marlion Pickett.

We're only taking 4 kids.

I don’t really think the Stocker Carlton thing is a big deal to be honest. He’s a safe pick, will be a good player and play a lot of games. Probably the type Carlton have to take, they can’t miss with early picks when they are rebuilding their list.

RCD comes with a bit more risk and unknowns, but potentially could be a superstar. We have the luxuary of giving him time to develop and become that player, and he has some good players to learn from.

Both clubs will be happy imo.

But there’s a few unknowns in that scenario
a. Will Hopper ask for a trade and if so to us or will another club trump us with a better offer
b. Will MR jnr. Require a first round pick to get him over the line. He may not end up being rated that highly.
I just reckon trying to predict what’s going to happen next year and the year after (and trading away picks) is risky.

Sure there are no absolutes at all. But remember the point being is we could get anther 2 players from the top 30 odd this year. Its moot now anyway.
