Thoughts on Duursma? I haven't done much research into this year's draft at all, but just reading about him quickly and he sounds like a good player. Smooth moving, quick half-back/wing which I think we need pretty badly.

I’d just trade next years first for a couple in the 20s. And then worry about getting in to the first round next year when the time comes.

West Coast may need an extra 1st rnd to get the deal done for kelly and still stay in the 1st rnd.

I really do hope we are looking at putting our 1st rounder next year up plus 37 for 2 in the 20s this year.

1st - Stocker/RCD/Smith
2nd/3rd - 2 of: Smith/McHenry/Duursma/O'Halloran/Valente/Taylor/Hill

You don't think we have enough half back/wing? Houli, Short, McIntosh, Ellis, Menadue, Markov, Naish, Dave Smith? Duursma seems very Vanilla to me. Not sure how he helps us other than providing depth...

Maybe, but why wouldn't you go for a pure inside midfielder. This draft is loaded ip with them.Higgins played midfield tho no mention of this kid.

Seems to fit our profile of late.After being burnt with Lennon & CEllis,We've gone down the path of kids who at the least have great work ethic.Graham, Higgins & traded in Prestia.
Would not surprise if we took McHenry with our 1st pick(trades pending) on that basis.

Dimma and Berge would be hard thinking about him running 30kms on the weekends.
I dont think we will draft him if we stay with 17 but i wouldnt be surprised if we did if you get what i mean.

Are we a realistic chance at Riley Collier-Dawkins? We need a Cripps/Bont hulking mid type to complement our more... nuggety ones.
IMO it's the missing piece to us having a completely dominant midfield.

Completely agree..... we need ready made players, boys with a bit of size ready to play in 2019. 71 kg aint going to cut it for next year.......

Agree with some posts before, I think we will have contingencies in place and check who is available with our first pick to decide whether we play or trade...... Interesting night looming.

Plenty of of decent solid mids available at out first too..... this is not the draft to pick something from obscurity for our first RFC!.

He's a light boy...... will need some serious gym work if he wants to get game time in 2019....... has the attributes, but I think we are looking for a now player, not a player to be ready within the next 3 years......

A lot of players there, yes, but not a lot who you can be confident about. Short and Houli would be the only ones, with Houli close to the end.

There's been comparisons to Sloane...... I really rate him.

He'll be good in about 3 years. Not a priority for us right now I would not have thought..... have plenty of his type running around for us currently.

Hope Adelaide or Port take him before we get a chance to consider.
