Bizarre by Carlton. Josh Kelly is likely to be returning next year and trading out a top four pick rules then out the discussion. Wish they’d offered us the trade couldn’t of said yes fast enough.

I think they think they are really rise next year so it will not be a pick in top 4. Remember Gold Coast probably 1 plus other compo picks maybe. But I still think they reached for Stocker

carlspoon board calling it a Sos special

youre damn right :D
Sos could walk in and take a shit on there lounge room floor and they’d still say that shit is worth more then josh kelly

We need to get at least one ready made midfielder from the rest of our picks.Weller is just a backup and RCDawkins is 2 years off.

Carlton won 2 games this year with a percentage of 59%.Even if they improve, I cant see them finishing higher than 17th.Their bottom 12 players were all born in dud city, just outside of shitsville.

Hope carltons recruits turn out to be duds
The way they were blowing eachother
Like they just recruited carey and ablett
Made me sick.

In fact there drafting other then Cripps/curnow/fisher downright sucks

Great pick up Tigers.
Riley is the nicest kid and good to watch.

Cheers Harlequin. Do you think his tank or endurance will be a problem? He was reported as having a below average tank and tested in the bottom 20 percent for the 2km time trial. Thanks in advance for any input.

Would trade 37 one of our 60’s picks and 2019 first rounder for dees picks or eagles

Then draft
Valente
Hill/Williams

Only for the Eagles first to get Valente and I would go overs to do it.

I would rate Valente better than a B Ellis pick in his year in terms of a draft.

I think he could be argued as a possible pick 9 in a normal draft.

Now in terms of list management and shifting talent into draft picks to ease salary cap spread I really would go after the West Coast pick.

I would trade 2019 1st, and throw in extras to get the required quality, list fit and salary reprieve as well as window management factor.
i would almost go a little crazy in terms of balanced value to get the pick to get assured of Valente for RFC in our situation but I would not totally lose the plot.

I would even trade 2019 1st and 2019 second to West Coast for their next pick and get back the pick they got from the Swans and throw in pick 37 as well,

Us chasing this guy makes more sense than the Pies going full on for Beams who only has so many years left on bigger salary IMO.

Actually it looks like West Coast traded their 22 out to the Swans so they probably will not want to give up pick 26 received from the Swans as well as their next pick. I still would go hard for West Coast's next pick for Valente though and West Coast can use their later pick for Hill if they want.!! Hmm, maybe give up 2019 1st and pick 37 for West Coasts' next pick, we get a West coast third rounder back from 2019 to even it up a little

Updated picks.

We're off to a good start. Getting RCD makes passing on Ely Smith a lot easier. Smith is ready made but RCD upside is higher.View attachment 587447

Smith is half the player that RCD is, just not at the same level... doesn’t mean that he won’t be as good if not better but RCD is a better pick imo

RCD could play in different roles. Could play on wing, down back etc over course of his career.

Don't mind RCD's physique for his size. Lot of potential there I think, can go in the middle but could play a number of roles.

Could be a quarter back type, fill the Conca role eventually.

Over time, love him to drift back and stop the opposition, carry the ball forward. Moves a bit like Rodney Eade but has the extra height to contest in the guts and even present forward. Might hopefully get a bit of durability out of this one over his career if he makes it. Great pick up from the Tigers!! Love what he could bring for us

Sydney have rorted the system again, they should lose a 2019 draft pick for their dodgyness.https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www...-trading-west-coast/o4o5ktqfjftn1gre48ypbdo84
AFL Draft: How Sydney Swans pulled a swifty to get Nick Blakey on the cheap
They didn't break any rules.

You shouldn't be punished for being smart. If anything, the AFL has once again shown they are incapable of implementing new rules.

This isn't a criticism of live trading but the ridiculous points / bidding system.

If RCD doesn't do these ones after kicking a snag I'm gonna walk down to punt road and delist him myself.

I agree that the academy picks and bidding system is flawed.Academy picks should be available to everyone without bids.AFL should have stopped Sydney trading out pick 26 only to trade in 24 mins later, the only reason being to get Blakey cheap. There will be a rule change next year, but AFL should have stepped in tonight in my book.

Yeah but Swans lost a 2019 seconded rounder and got a West Coast third rounder so it cost the Swans
