Anyone with Hasleby's suggestion of trying to get pick 1?

Then going Lukosious?

Can't really see how. It would take a Cerra and pick 6 type deal to get pick 1 and then that would only be with Carlton or Saints (Cerra to Vic club). Maybe Carlton could argue they'd pass on Lukosious and need a bit of midfield class.

Not sure Saints would pass on Lukosious.
Just need Gold Coast to finish bottom? Sheridans sunglass company would kill it there.

Question: Do you think GCS would match a Club’s bid on Tom Lynch who is a restricted FA and force him to a trade?

An offer to a restricted free agent may be matched by his club, which has right of first refusal over his services. If the free agent does not wish to remain with his original club, he must enter the draft or seek a trade.

That would be a win for Freo as our draft position wouldn’t drop back one position wherever that may be ie. 5, 6 or 7.

We’d need something back in return if Cerra is involved. He is a top 5 pick std on his own. Doubt GCS would pull the goodwill trigger with us again. Maybe Carlton.

Preferably we just go the draft with our 5-7 pick and get ourselves some more picks in the 3rd Round. We are going to get a good one at that pick.

Picking up McGovern as a FA to play fwd would be handy.

It is going to depend big time on whom Lynch goes to and what picks they have.

If it is Richmond and pick 18 then you'd think the compo looks better. If it is Hawks or Pies and pick 9-10 plus next years first probably similar value and I think they'd force the trade. So lets hope for the latter.

If Luke Jackson picks football over basketball next year he would be tracking to go top 1-4.
Pity he is underage this year, watching him against SA, leap, tap ruckwork, ground ball gather with composed disposal, natural kicking action.
He is a real package.
