Likely to be some time early in the morning of December 2.

For those uninitiated one team from each pot is drawn to make one of the eight groups of four. No two teams from the same federation can play each other in the groups stages unless it's a European nation.

    POT 1
    Russia
    Germany
    Brazil
    Portugal
    Argentina
    Belgium
    Poland
    France

    POT 2
    Spain
    Peru
    Switzerland
    England
    Colombia
    Mexico
    Uruguay
    Croatia

    POT 3
    Denmark
    Iceland
    Costa Rica
    Sweden
    Tunisia
    Egypt
    Senegal
    Iran

    POT 4
    Serbia
    Nigeria
    Australia
    Japan
    Morocco
    Panama
    South Korea
    Saudi Arabia

I feel bad but don’t really care who Australia get. Looking forward to the tournament as a whole though. Love a World Cup.

Russia, Peru and Tunisia would be the easiest draw for us based off that. Although, there are talks Peru could be kicked out due to government interference in the Peruvian FA but it's likely a beat-up.

Can't play both as they are in the same pot but, yes, would love to get England.

    Rehearsals were... interesting:

    Our group was:
    Brazil
    England
    Sweden
    Australia

People thought that was more difficult than France, Spain, Costa Rica, Japan (They think France and Spain should coast it).

What's the exact time for this in SA or Vic time and will it be on Foxtel/Optus/FreeTV?

1:30am SA time on Saturday morning I believe if my calculations are correct. It's 6:00pm Moscow time.

I was putting together a list of teams from other pots that have never played each other at a World Cup before but it took forever. Needless to say, I almost wish the draw was somehow set up to create new match ups we've never seen before.

Hopefully we get something a bit more kind than 2014, in saying that any draw will look tough for us.

If we make it into Russia and Polands group we would have done well.

Portugal wouldn't be a bad result either.

I want Russia, England, Tunisia. Russia cause they're the hosts and not that strong, England cause I just want us to have a crack at them, and Tunisia cause they're beatable.

What we'll probably get? Brazil, Spain, Denmark.

I'm about to do a mock draw myself
But seeing the rankings made me wonder one thing
I see Russia has the lowest ranking in the World Cup
Would that be due to deflated rankings with no qualifiers for two years?
I know FIFA awards a more points to proper games over friendlies, so in the case of the hosts not playing competitive games for two years, would their ranking get deflated?
