Peru can consider themselves quite unlucky not to have scored a goal at the World Cup. I wonder what kind of attitude they will come out with against us. It can go one of two ways (all out attack or collapse into a heap).
A France 1-0 win and a 1-0 Win from us would put us through on Goals scored.

What is the track record of teams throwing the final game when they are already through?
I can't recall it happening recently.
It’s not throwing, it’s given your reserves a chance and keeping the squad happy and engaged. Usually happens, you don’t want to risk important players getting injured in what is essentially a dead rubber. France will want to finish top though so wholesale changes unlikely to happen

Yep Pogba .He just tried to head the ball the other guy fell over. didnt seem much in it .
As with Paulsen’s handball, it is the player’s responsibility to keep your arms down near the ball or another player’s face.

The same applies to your boot.

I thought it was for the backhand slap to the face!

Depending on Argentina/Croatia result, France may still need to press for a win against Denmark to prioritise avoiding Argentina in knock-out rounds.

In a corrupt coin toss, I'd back us to win.
We seem to have more of a fan presence than Denmark so FIFA would prefer us to go through
Meh. Croatia have players from Juventus/Barcelona/Real Madrid/Inter/Liverpool/Atletico Madrid/Napoli and a couple decent German sides.

Way more eyeballs on them

Croatia just playing for a point against Argentina and looking like they can do it.

Croatia are not scared of anyone this tournament imo. Probably better than a few of the “favourites” such as England etc blurgh.

Problem we face now is that France have zero motivation to attack against Denmark. They'd happily play it around the back for 90 mins for a 0-0 draw. Its up to the Danes and how motivated they are to knock the French off top spot, or if they are just happy to go through.

The 0-0 draw wouldn't be paying a lot...

If I'm France or Denmark, I know who'd I rather face in the Ro16 out of Croatia and literally anyone else in Group D. So they both do have that to motivate them.

Denmark could play Croatia in the round of 16 and they'll be belted. They are legitimately a one-man team. We were the better side but we just don't have any decent strikers in the squad. Cahill may be a broken down old man but I still feel he would've offered more than Juric who I've never rated, constantly bottles chance after chance. Peru game should be interesting. Similar team, they can attack but they just can't finish. That said, start Arzani over David Mackay and we might just get the 3 points.
This is pretty accurate.

We are horrible at the final ball.

Juric made us static in attack and slowed everything down, his decision making was also poor.

Cahill may have been a better option but in reality he is cooked and I don't think he has the legs in him to harass defenders.

Kruse must be banished. For good.

I think if that penalty was called against us too we'd all be outraged. It was incredible soft and very, very lucky that it went in our favour.

Cahill ain’t the ******* future.
He isn’t but a World Cup isn’t about looking to the future. Maybe with a few younger players it is. However, these are grand finals for everyone.
In no way am I saying Cahill should have definitely been subbed on. For all we know he could be that far passed it now. When did he last lace a boot in club football?

France's second team is better than Denmark's first, the seconds will be hungry too. Peru will play France into form. Calling it now. Aussies beat Peru 1-0 with a 79th minute header from Timmy, France beats Denmark 2-0. Socceroos take on Christiano and Co.
The GOAT will mess us up big time!
