Best penalty is the one down the middle with a little bit of height, as you know the keeper is going to dive.
Surprised it’s not utilised more by players.

That was one of the more entertaining shootouts I have seen in awhile, both keepers made some nice saves, but to be fair many of the penalty shots were piss poor, or soft kicks. Glad Croatia went through, got robbed of a certain goal and the defender gets rewarded by having Croatia come back and take a penalty with shorter odds of making a goal.
Should be rewarded a goal if someone is taken down from behind when in an clear open goal as they are running to it, with no keeper or defender anywhere near by or if someone blocks it with their hand on purpose. The attacker gets punished more than the defender does if the spot kick ends up being missed.
Should have been a straight red card to, have seen softer incidents go down as a red card. Some questionable moves by the goalkeepers coming off their line. Not the referees finest performance.
Russia vs Croatia will be a good game
