The_Wookie your link to Venues West made me look for VenuesLive annual report the blokes who have management righst to Optus Stadium in Perth, ANZ Stadium at Olympic Park in Sydney and the new Bankwest Stadium at Paramatta where the Eels and Wanderers will play when it opens mid year.
https://www.venuesnsw.com/page/annual-reports

Couldn't find anything, but the last 2 are owned by Venues NSW and whilst no AFL ovals in their portfolio, this page has their last 7 years annual reports.

Hi Wookie, the WCE asset figure you've cited is not the net asset figure which you've used for all other clubs on that list. It should be $77,014,459.

The scary thing from the Eagles perspective is that its 82.26 million of pure AFL revenue (and interest). For example, Collingwood in their revenue include Netball, AFLW, VFL, their travel business, Glasshouse events center business and of course the 2 venues they run where they earn pokies, food and drink revenue. Take all that out and well the gap is even bigger.

This the bit that pleases me most, the contribution to WA footy, not just the WAFL:
This financial result has again allowed the Company to deliver a substantial royalty to the West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) of $3,906,471 to support the WAFL clubs, community football and our very important community programs. In this regard, since our inception we have been very proud to contribute approximately $141 million to the WAFC for the development of AFL in our state.

It remains baffling to me how the WAFC got it so right with West Coast, and how much the SANFL bungled Adelaide.

The_Wookie I know not all clubs have a breakdown of game day ticket sales but West Coast's $9.794m [inc in your $34.7m total above] up from $2.349m would have to be the biggest I have ever seen. Fremantle's was $5.735m up from $2.101m.

It suggests that those 10,000 tickets not made available to members has been a boon for WCE. (7,000 for GA, 1,385 for stadium members, 1,000 for tourism packages, 400 for visiting team and rest for stadium operators use.) They can charge premium rates for them for 11 games even though they are spread out among the different categories of the stadium. Freo have done alright out of them as well, but not as good.

Yes I know the 2 WA clubs dont get revenue from all 10,000 tickets and that there are costs associated with it before they get the net receipts, but the supply demand imbalance has been keep so premiums can be charged, especially for WCE games.
