Exactly, am hoping for a miracle where we get 10 & our only other 'home' game in Melb is vs the filth on Easter Monday.... Ps surely next season is the year in which the blues travel down the highway!

I think we're a unique setup whereby we're not an interstate team but we're not a Melbourne team so a balance of SS and MCG games would be great for us, as well as a final's compromise;
- 9 SS home games
- 2 MCG home games
- NO home games at ES
- Atleast 3 away games at MCG
- All home finals against interstate teams at SS(expect GF)
- All finals against Melbourne teams at MCG

Yep like this, it needs to be made black and white at the START of the season, none of this making it up on the go to suit their needs that the AFL normally does. Even if they don't want any finals at SS, at least make it clear at the start of the year.

Unless they classify us as an interstate or non-Melbourne team, to which case we should be treated accordingly and play all the big Melbourne clubs down here as well as every home final no matter the opposition, then I can't see us getting anymore than 9 home games at SS.

So long as the 2 home games in Melbourne are at the MCG I'm OK with that. Docklands should only be for away games.

What we know is that Round 2 (Easter) will be on Easter Monday V Hawthorn

Would think we will play in Melbourne on the 1st Saturday in order to have enough time off to prepare for the hawks game

They'll likely drip feed us for a few days and then release it Thursday or Friday.

We might be a sneaky chance for Rnd 1 v West Coast at the New Perth Stadium.

AFL wants a big Vic club to go over, however Essendon wants to play Hawks R1, Collingwood v Melbourne is also a lock, as is Richmond v Carlton. That doesn't leave any big clubs per se except Geelong. Adelaide would be my 2nd guess.
