He's a rollercoaster

Can be picked up at multiple stages throughout the year
This, ive started with him the last 2 years and he's been a decent pick but 2-3 times a year he'll have a few bad games in a row. So the smart thing to do is to wait til hes had a couple of poor games in a row and pick him up for say 440-470k and then watch him go bang.

Im really starting to get around young Toby Mclean as my F2, his 2nd off the year was great this year. Being his 4th year he could be about to break out, im tossing up between him and Kevin smith atm.

Just terrible this year, the worst forward line ever. A bloody 21 year old is our best option. If we have the rookies then I'm sticking with just Gray and Heeney.

Fwd line is great, hopefully lots of different combos

Locks : Heeney, Gray, Dahlhaus

Solid picks : Franklin, JJK, Menegola, Billings, Wingard

Breakout : Petracca, de Goey

Value : Deledio, Bennell, Cyril, Christensen

Never again : Greene

So many options up forward, it's going to be a great year if all of those value picks are fit. Hopefully we start to see more variance in starting teams due to that.

Spot on gents. Grabbed him before the Essendon game (as he usually towels them up and was close to his cheapest). Then held on for the ride.

Michael Barlow anyone? Has come back strong leading time trials, GC board think he'll play more as an accumulator, new coach. Last 5 seasons has averaged above 93 apart from last year (84).

Not for me

He's in my current team but I'm not convinced. Was more Fantasy relevant last season but I can see him move more on ball with the lack of Ablett (not that he really was really there this year).

its tempting but i dont like the round 10 bye, especially if you're starting with sexy Robbie as well.
i think i'll pass on all Suns/Port players until its done.

Petracca going to play more midfield this year and go boom?.....Melb fans?
Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get slightly more midfield time. But I still expect he’ll spend more time ion forward. I’m thinking about him as I think he’ll have more impact this year kicking more goals.

Hai !! big_bazza You backing in our bai Paps smear with me?o_O
Id love to brosef but his price makes the lil fella go internal, i know he played a bit of mid towards the end of the year but i think his best position is a small forward. When you think for 451k you can get someone like Mclean. Conglinio, De goey, Barlow, Lynch, Kevin Smith for roughly the same price or even Lobb for 60k cheaper in the forward line i know who i'd rather. Absolutley love Tommy as a player and is my favorite swan but i just cant bring myself to get him in my sc team.

Having said that i just checked his scores from last year and i didnt realise how well he scored. After round 6 only had 2 scores under 80 which were 73 and 68, i just worry that he might not play as much midfield this year with the likes of Jones, Mills and Heeney all more likely to play more mid minutes than 2017. And then blokes like Dawson and potentially ling coming in and playing some midfield time.

Having said that he scored over 100 in 2 of his first 3 games in 2016 from memory playing as a small forward so would be a great pod.

heres his 2017 scores.

One player that I have not seen in any team so far is Buddy.
He has been on my never again list for 2 years now, but looking at his last few years he has played 22 games and of the availible fwds for 2018 he has been in the top few point scorers in those years.
Rollercoaster ride, but if you were going to get him at all, it would be best to start with him.
Thoughts?

For memory Buddy's first halves of years are always better than his last halves, so start or forget, nearly 30 highly priced max 100 ave
only thing going for him is Sydney will NOT start slowly again this year, wouldn't be the worst starting option.

I have four locks son.
Heeney, Walters, Sicily, Lobb.

Milo out!!
Heeney and Lobb are locks.
Walters might not see the midfield time with Fyfe back fit and firing.
Sicily I'd have down back maybe

Sicily and your man McGov will play a key part in my F/D looping strategy along with a floating donut rookie.
The points gained through looping should offset McGoverns 493k price for his ave of 90

I have plans man, I HAVE PLANS!!!!!
