Dont reckon his price will wander that far north of current price, ie not much value to picking him now and you get that one extra out to cover in R14. I will luxury sideways some spud to him R15+.His Rd14 bye is quite off putting for me too with so much of my midfield with that same bye. However, being the last MBR round, 3 trades to players from the previous byes should* still get 18 on field. If you're going to have too many players from the same bye round in your team, it's preferable that they're from the last bye.

I dunno about Hogan, he is probably an okay to have but not a must have. Jump on Simpson instead? Realise this wont leave cash for double upgrade next 1-2 wks, but this may stop you from accepting too many B grade premos... Nothing worse than finally hitting full premo and other people with 1-2 upgrades left to make are outscoring yiu...Hmm you do make a good point,.
My biggest problem (aside from Billings) is I have only 4k in the bank, need to urgently upgrade my defence (only have 2 premo's ATM) but also want to bank a large sum of $$ for an upgrade next week.
I'm now considering sideways trading my M9 SP Kelly 432k b/e 55 > SP Hogan 440k b/e 44.
Via Finlay to mid bench & Sicily to Def (giving me my Def upgrade)
then downgrade either Finlay or Doedee > Ed Phillips = 250k for an upgrade or 2 next week.
which leaves me with this...?

I would look somehow at purging Billings and Christensen.
I just did the maths based on projected scores and I'll be $45k short of getting Robbie Gray in Round 11. Can I get away with grabbing Boak and aiming to get as well later, or is Gray after his bye an absolute must-have?
In order to make that money, I'll need to grab Phillips early instead of going late on Ronke. I will also need a downgrade option in round 10 and 11, so I'll be relying on Cumming, Clarke and maybe Ahern.
Thoughts?
Is Gray a must have?Thoughts on what? You have things under control.
Just don't get Boak
Gray will be a must have. 115avg. Gun.
Phillips looked very good. Clarke i hear is a beast. Cumming won't last. Ahern is poo.
Next week will most probs be a double downgrade (Naughton and English to Cumming and Clarke)
Just asking the question. Robbie Gray play predominately fwd in the showdown. Is this due to Rockcliff taking his midfield minutes? Rockcliff played fwd the first few games cause he was injured, hence Robbie G played onball. However it seems Rockcliff is fit and firing. He isn't going to kick bags each week so do we expect a more up and down scoring like last year? I still going to get him cause he has the x factor that can make or break your league games same with buddy.
Food for thought~
Another post also pointed out that if considering bringing in Ronke, unless you think he is a keeper then its down to cash generation, and the question becomes will Phillips make as much cash as ronke from here and what you can do with the extra $100K now. If phillips can make $150K and you can use the extra $100K then its a better option.Ronke a week late vs Phillips a week early
This is my thinking to. He was on 38 SC at 1/2 time, then went on a 5 goal blitz, 76 point 3rd Qtr. Finished on ~124 or something so only got ~10 points in the last Quarter.Just asking the question. Gray does shit against West Coast because of the ShepinatorGray was mid until the third when he went forward and broke the game up. He will go where needed.
Although is game against WCE was worrying.
Gray has that knack of getting free and finding the pill and/or goals.
Who?Gray does shit against West Coast because of the Shepinator
It's more so about job security over the byes. You need rookies playing over the bye periods. If you bring in rookies that won't play, then you're going to suffer. Ronke will play every game and should get to $400k (Swans win at least 4/5 until their bye), while Phillips and Cumming could be droppedAnother post also pointed out that if considering bringing in Ronke, unless you think he is a keeper then its down to cash generation, and the question becomes will Phillips make as much cash as ronke from here and what you can do with the extra $100K now.
