Correct. Beyond reasonable doubt has not yet been established.

Innocent until PROVEN guilty.

Might not be a perfect system but it protects you and me.

Yes Joff, presumption of innocence. However, beyond a reasonable doubt is a significant threshold to reach. And given the high profile nature of the case my guess is all the t’s will be crossed & all the i’s will be dotted.

Presumption of innocence doesn’t mean people cannot have an opinion on the matter. The crown will be saying he’s grub (not using that word) & guilty of drug trafficking & defence will be saying he did nothing wrong. I’m happy to side with the prosecution on this matter given the nature. They don’t just roll out serious charges like this willy nilly. There’d be a lot of work done prior to pull together a water tight brief of evidence IMO.

Anyhow, my gripe is the narrative of the AFL media portraying Bomber. It’s the same with King Carey who is a proven grub of the highest order & ‘we’ fawn over this pest.

Happy to disagree but I’m pretty staunch on this subject.

I guess we just wait & find out. Pretty serious for him to be charged. I will reserve judgement until we know the facts.
Some facts have already come out from the police raid. There was a room with combination lock door and behind it was a shitload of drugs.

He’s not selling a bit of pot on the side to help make ends meet. He’s a wealthy man trying to make some more cash off the health and well being of others, often mentally unwell people.

No. No idea why you & vds keep asking this.
Well it’s actually important for those complaining You don’t use but if you did and feel that strongly then surely you go to the cops to dob in your supplier. I hope others not happy and do use would do that. It’s the right thing to do.

If he’s found guilty I hope he rots in hell.
I despise these bottom feeding drug peddlers that destroy lives old and young.
If he’s innocent then all well and good I hope he gets the support he requires to battle his mental demons.
6 years ago I didn’t pay much attention to drugs - never done them - but now I have kids and nothing scares the shizen out of me more....and I’ve been under fire in the army.
For his sake I hope it’s an innocent verdict and it’s a genuine mistake. If he was being blackmailed by these bikies or something I would believe it.
Anyway that’s my first and last word on the matter.

And do we think he is all there himself if he is undertaking in such illegal activity? You would have to have a screw loose to even consider it I reckon. Not defending him but he isn't well.

It’s already come out that the gear was locked away in his bedroom.
So there's obviously something wrong with him then. For someone who has dealt with depression before I can see how it goes from bad to worse and some people can let it get to such a ridiculous stage whereby they are partaking in activity like drug dealing. If he is found guilty then I have no problems with him being punished for it but I wonder how far down the rabbit hole he is.

Correct mate. For a long time me and some mates were in a deep pit and many turned to drugs (the others turned to alcohol - everyone has a vice) it’s VERY easy to slide into a situation like this

Yep that's how it goes mate. Dealing with it is a daily thing. It never just ends. Some people let it get the better of them and slowly but surely end up in very bad situations. I'd say Bomber has been going through some difficult times for a while now.

Does everyone realise that there’s been rumours about Bomber being involved in this type of activity for over a decade now?
People thought he used but I doubt people thought he was dealing. Watson said today he tried to contact last year but like everyone else wasn’t returning calls. Downhill spiral

footage i saw of him going to court had him say "guilty", unless that was someone elses voice. i wasnt paying attention very well
A female reporter asked if he will plead not guilty his response was “I have no idea”. An innocent person would’ve responded “absolutely I’ll plead not guilty”...imo.

Nope, do what you want. However, I will say, it feels like I’m constantly arguing with you in particular on this site. We couldn’t be anymore opposite with our views on just about any subject. I’ve gotta stop giving you oxygen TBH.
Isn't that what we are here for?

Or so we all just group hug and walk towards the cliff like ignorant lemmings.

You gotta challenge the status quo mate.

The narrative the media is delivering is how sorry everyone feels about Bomber & the situation he finds himself in. Robbo is blaming the drug saga at Ess, which ironically Bomber was complicit in.

I’d like the narrative to be about how great a job investigators & prosecutors did to bring before the court an alleged drug trafficker.

Drug traffickers are as bad if not worse than murderers IMO. This is based on the impact each crime has on lives. I don’t emphasise with murderers nor do I with drug traffickers.

Happy to wait until due court process is finalised before I totally write the bloke off. It doesn’t look good for him though.
Totally agree. But that's society for you these days. It's all about the "story" and how the media can spin it to get maximum mileage.

What did you expect?
