Who would you suggest we put up for trade, who has enough currency to get us something of value in return?
Oh mate I am not going to indulge into something I haven't even thought of yet. It'd just be gibberish. But as I said big names should be put on the table; the club needs to be ruthless.

Lloyd is a top fifty player in the comp. I've seen nothing more than glimpses to suggest De Goey will be so.

We're already stagnant, with average skills, and lacking rebounding defenders. So you want to get rid of one of our quickest players, best ball users, and most attacking back-half player?
I love Lloyd but top 50 no ******* way imo

Running capabilities are top but he doesn’t damage teams to a point he even needs a tag

Manly kicks 15-20m passes going back or side as he can’t deliver a 45/50m pass as he doesn’t have the ability

He isn’t top 50 in the comp , Lucky top 100

He plays a role for us that is very important to how we play and is therefore very important for us but he is not a top 50 player in the comp.

IMO he is one of our problems, he is just not penetrating enough with his kicking. He is a great defensive kick, runs hard, does all the hard stuff but we desperately need someone that can kick offensively with penetration, like Malceski used to, that can play Lloyd's role.

Parker and Hannebery are the 2 obvious ones.
Wonder how many supporters would be OK with putting up for trade either of those 2?

I am not suggesting we do it, but it is worthy of discussion especially if we fail to fire this year.

No sure anyone would take on Hanners contract and knowing they might not see him at his best again
it's sad all our players have to play that way and takes away their natural flair. Yes we have been consistent , but 2 flags is not enough reward.

How many would satisfy you?

Even if we had all our other players fully fit and firing IMO we couldn't win a flag with a ruck setup of Towers and Sinclair.

Should have 3 , 16 played 2 spuds at the time. 14 , we gave Clarko ammo by people like Jack mouthing off that we will have 120 tackles. Our players should shut the F up about contested footy in the media

14 was an abomination. Anyone with half a brain could have foreseen the Hawks tactics that day. Foreseeing it and doing something about it are 2 different things, it exposed what looks like a soft underbelly.

16 was just corruption.

As much as Jetta was always going to leave the Swans we tried to turn him into something he isn't. Work on his defensive game seemed to turn that running flair off. We have a defensive mindset and everybody has to buy in and well it is somewhat proven and successful but then the cries of plan B just make it seem a highly competitive formula but not a dominating one, utilising the strengths of your talent.

Franklin doesn't roll his ankle in the first quarter of '16, we would have won in spite of the poor selections/umpiring imo.

Dunno, the umpires were 'on' that day, a fully fit Buddy would have meant that they would need to step up even further to influence the result in the Bulldogs favour.

That's his role and he's fantastic at it. Like I said, one of the best ball users and hardest runners in a team that's top four or there abouts since he came into the side. Blokes like Daniher and Lynch are put in the top 50 and don't perform anywhere near as consistently as Lloyd.

He's easy top 50 in my opinion. Take him out of our side and we would be 25-30 quality possessions shorter. He's already getting more opposition pressure from teams we've faced, they're cutting off his space (and look how it's effecting us...)

Better than lynch, come on have you seriously lost the plot

Mate he wouldn’t be in the top 5 players at any club in the comp , that’s already 90 players

Only reason he is a good ball user is because he doesn’t kick over 20m and when he does he turns it over , he isn’t an elite kick

I seriously think you don’t watch enough footy to seriously say he is top 50 in the Comp

IMO Lloyd would be an All Australian by now if he was at another club that afforded him time and space to do damage. He loves to take the game on with his run, then use precise kicking to find targets (and they're usually the right target.) His speed is under-estimated as well, as I've seen him shake tackles from some of the quickest blokes in the comp and leave them in his wake.

If he's one of our problems, it's because he favours kicking over stupid hospital handpasses and long bombs which is the opposite of what every other bloke in our side does. If only we had 21 other Lloyds in the side... far out.

Very few players in the comp do long kicks well. Buddy is probably the best in the comp at it. Selwood Dangerfield Fyfe Mitchell... all average at it.

I think some on here like to run with the theory that we have no mids except JPK, no one in our team runs, and no one in our team besides Buddy can kick the pill. Lloyd is an interruption to that theory because he performs every week, uses the ball very well, makes great decisions, is tough as nails and provides more movement than probably anyone in our side, including "speedsters" like Jones and Rohan.

He is in our top five players.
