Did anyone else see Weller was just behind Schoenfeld in the time trial? My understanding is Schoenfeld is our best runner by a long way so that would suggest Weller is also a very good runner. Now we're hearing he's already our best kick. Did we hit the jackpot with Lachie or is the rest of our list just trash?
Jackpot bank it in

2km is a tough time trial because it is too far for the speedier guys to use their pace to any significant advantage, while it isn't far enough for the guys with the highest endurance to be able to outlast. Schoenfeld has pace and endurance which I hope he can display next season because 8 games over 2 seasons for an underperforming club is below expectations - in fact, I was surprised he wasn't bundled up in the Weller trade because he's a Freo lad. 2MP has a great motor and is regularly getting up the field and then dragging his man back the forward 50, which is a trait that will continue to see him winning marking contests late in matches because his opponents are rooted. Touk Miller could become an elite midfielder if he keeps improving at the rate he's going, with natural talent and ability to gather and use the ball. Weller's in good company right there.

Looking through the day one of pre season videos and Stuart Dew really impressed me again. Very positive and clearly likes to teach with a hands on approach, I think we have a good one boys and girls
Yep, he has full buy in from the coaching group too

Are you implying that the previous coaching staff were undermining Rocket Eade and not committed?
Bods, no in my opinion it was the reverse Rocket didn't get the key stakeholders on board with him or ingratiate the players and kept himself isolated from the coaching staff

Yeah that makes sense to me. I saw the team train once at Salk Oval and he was a miserable lonely figure in the middle of the field on his own who just spent his time bouncing a Sherrin which at his age looked a bit sad as well.

He had close to No interactions at all with Staff or Players.
Reminded me of a CEO or School Principal that never leaves their office and is totally detached from the company or community they are meant to serve.

super psyched!!!! just got my membership sitting in bay 217. anyone sat there before? is it good viewing? anyone sitting nearby feel free to pm me to catchup during the game.

We sit in 218. Have since day one. Love the view from the pocket/flank...can watch the spread of both teams with ease...row P.

I love my Suns and I'll stick it out with them until the end. But I will admit to being slightly exhausted by the idea of a season of will he won't he regarding Lynch extending his contract...
Couldn't agree more but it's the way of the World
Even a heritage Club like Richmond thought their marquee player in Martin would be in vertical blue and white until 24 hrs before he re-signed
Unfortunately the hype and "meetings" and "rumours" often have more to do with player managers pumping up tyres than a real desire by players to move on

Lynch’s decision will come down to whether he wants to be here or not. The 3rd party endorsements he will get acces to in Vic just can’t be competed with.

He has given great service and if he decides to go I can’t blame him. I hope he stays he has done the hard yards so I hope he’s here for the cream.

We have to accept Feeder Club status in the short term because of our current situation
But that will change
Look at the bucks and wolves in the nba.. been feeder club for years. After growing their own talent they are now a destination club

I've copied and paste this from another board on there picking of of our dead caccus , but thought id share this stat on 2MP which might interest people comparing him to Lynch at the same stage of his career .

These are there stats after 3 seasons each , both had linear progression in there first 3 seasons

Lynch - 35 Games, 38 goals av 1.08 , most goals 4.1 , poss av 13.1 , marks av 5.0 , tackles av 1.5 , dreamteam av 59.8.
Wright - 42 Games, 59 goals av 1.40 , most goals 5.1 , poss av 11.7 , marks av 5.0 , tackles av 1.5 , dreamteam av 65.1.

Good news Lynch had a break out year in his 4th year kicking 50 goals , could we expect the same output from Pete i wonder.
