Trying to watch Rambo here.

He’s got amazing firey/exploding arrow shots.
the entire russian army can't land a punch but he goes ok up against them one out - it was juddesque and it was fitting

No surprise with Murphy getting the nod, IMHO Doc would have got the gig if not for the knee injury

A little surprised with ASOS, but just shows that he is highly regarded by the coaches and players.

Plowman is a great addition

There will be a dramatic change to that leadership group next year
Be interested in your prediction ArrOw..?

His spats, beret wearing commander is borderline incompetent.

Just an observation.
All commanders are incompetent. Otherwise there is no one to rage against to give you the will to get home against the odds and wreak your revenge.

Script writing in a ‘paint by numbers’ format.

Blues back Murphy as skipper

half of em about to head off for a brew - one last shot fellas.........simmo "ffs!"

"Carlton are something of an unknown quantity heading into the year with a number of talented youngsters still requiring time to build the strength to become consistent performers."

there's quite a bit of symbolism in that shot

Doc really seems the natural fit as next Captain with the man mountain at his side. He's already a bit of a general down back, as much as that overused term irks me, and with the coaching courses and everything else he's apparently doing this year he should be a great leader and conduit between Bolts and the playing group.

Also, at the risk of reading too much into it, most of the press release stuff I saw had Doc listed before Cripps as vc. Kinda feel that if he wasn't seen as our next captain he wouldn't have been promoted to VC this year and just would have stayed as part of the leadership group.

Plow's addition is a good sign for the start of the changing of the guard. In all the journey stuff ASOS seems like he's a great guy to have around the club, very driven and committed, and has probably been doing plenty of his own 'leadership stuff' with the younger guys since his arrival. He's probably got 1-2 years left max so it's a short term role. Possibly similar to when Armfield got a leadership gig last year.

Can imagine next year's group may be something like Docherty C, Cripps VC, and Murph, Ed, Kreuz, Plow leadership group with potentially the addition of 1 or 2 younger faces like Weits or Samo or even a Marchy, Fish, Charlie, Kennedy, Lang, etc although they may be another year or two off consideration. Can see Dow being there in maybe 3-4 years time.

Apparently on SEN Dal Santo and KB said they thought our group was too big and 'what's wrong with just having 3 leaders?'

Dal then went on to talk about how he really liked the diversity of our group, mentioning Plow and ASOS.

KB finished by saying that we'd suffer a 100 point belting in round 1. Seems to ignore that our average deficit over the last 3 has been 27 points, including last year which went up to 35 points in the premiership year. Not quite sure where Richmond is going to find those extra 65 points come round 1...
