I think we'll have maximum 5 delistings off the senior list probably less.

Johnson
Pearce
Spurr
Sutcliffe
Hughes - i'd keep

I imagine we upgrade at least 2 rookies (banfield/nyhuis)

Would leave us only needing 3 national draft picks. If we can trade next years first for a first this year i would do that. Best case scenario would be Rozee (pick 7), Hateley/hill (2019 first), carter (pick 78).

The only others i can see moving are:
Strnadica - delist from rookie list
Sheridan - trade
Tucker - trade

I think both sheridan and tucker will stay.

We actually have plenty of depth in the small forward area, we just don’t play them there. Matera, Walters, Swit, Grey and likely to have Bolton next year. We should just give up on the idea of trying to turn Walters into a midfielder. Is far too injury prone and is much more valuable kicking 40-50 goals a year.

If Ballantyne was showing a sign that he was still afl standard, then fair enough. But he wouldn’t get a game in any other team and hasn’t shown much at all for a few seasons now.

Oh well, he will play round 1 and he we all know how that will turn out.

Matera, Swit, Grey - not one of these players has top end pace and can kick goals.

Matera is slow, Grey is a de Boer clone. Swit is unproven. I personally would have rather chased a mature age player and offered them a 1 year deal, but I don't mind giving Ballas another year.

Johnson, Pearce, Spurr, Stucliffe are pretty much gone.

I don't see Sandi playing next year, but I could be wrong.

This leaves the below players that are out of contract. I expect 1 or 2 of the below players to request a trade, and 1 or 2 of them to be delisted.

I don't see the point in upgrading them if we don't need to.

1 Hayden Ballantyne 173 79 WA 31 years, 0 months
11 Tom Sheridan 187 82 VIC 24 years, 9 months 13
Harley Bennell 185 85 WA 25 years, 10 months 15
Ethan Hughes 187 88 WA 23 years, 8 months 16
David Mundy 192 91 VIC 33 years, 0 months 28
Brady Grey 182 86 TAS 23 years, 0 months 41
Bailey Banfield 188 88 WA 20 years, 5 months 42
Stefan Giro 175 71 SA 19 years, 5 months 43
Ryan Nyhuis 188 88 NT 21 years, 11 months 44
Luke Strnadica 200 100 WA 20 years, 7 months

All of ballas, grey, walters, matera, switkowski have been injury prone which probably factors in to keeping ballas on. Definitely need some more pace in the forward half - switkowski seems quick

Didn't we send Lloyd off to learn the art of live trading before it came in? Disappointing.
