On a serious note, this is everything that is wrong with journalism today.
If you aren't going to put a name to it, don't say anything. Until we as consumers stop feeding into this type of bullshit, they will continue to spout it.
Since 2011(?) the Fremantle Football Club has operated their drafting / trading in the dark.
Who say Danyle Pearce coming? Who picked us snagging Brayshaw at 2 until the day of the draft?
If it isn't coming from the club or a player manager it should be treated with scepticism.
He's probably doing the Cerra strat, chuck something out that he has no idea on and then get the information handed to him.

Gossage might just be spouting nonsense off of Langdon's words tonight.
He was saying we look like we're getting Lobb and retaining Neale.
Obviously I don't trust either of these guys but to settle the curious ones that's what they said.

Lets say for arguments sake that the Lobb deal gets done and he's in purple next year and all our talls are fit leading into round one.
Sandilands won't be playing WAFL, and neither will Lobb if we trade for a player on $600,000ish. So either Cox plays back, or one of Cox/Taberner/Darcy starts the year in the WAFL.
Darcy plays WAFL.
I’d have Darcy playing WAFL even if we don’t have Lobb and everyone else is fit.
Sandilands and Darcy shouldn’t be in the same team.

Darcy and Sandilands can potentially work with Taberner and Cox, Darcy has had some handy games as a forward in the WAFL. Throw Lobb into the mix and there's no way we go with Sandilands/Lobb/Darcy + Taberner and Cox.
Lasted less than a half. Sandilands tore his hammy.
So we have competition for positions, and depth?
Once and Sandi went down early. You can't play Lobb/Darcy/Sandilands as rucks/forwards + Cox and Taberner as genuine tall forwards.
If we bring in Lobb it's Lobb at FF, Taberner CHF, Cox 3rd tall defender replacing Johnson/Duman, Sandilands 50% ruck 20% forward, Darcy 50% ruck 40% forward.
Yes Darcy and Sandilands could possibly work.
But if we had Lobb wouldn’t you just have Lobb instead of Darcy? Lobb would be a massive upgrade on Darcy as a forward/ ruck.
Darcy is still young and can lead the ruck from 2020.
He splits games with Sandi next year regardless of who we get or who is fit.
That's great if we're playing finals.
But if we finish bottom 6 and Darcy or Cox spend most of the year playing WAFL they won't hang around. Then Sandilands retires and we're scrambling for talls again.
Decent argument if we had numbers all across the ground. As is if we get Lobb we'll have incredibly stiff competition with the talls (4 of Sandi, Darcy, Lobb, Cox, Tabs, Apeness and even Dixon will have to miss out every week) yet a complete dearth of quality small/medium forwards.
Very dumb move if Lobb costs anything more than a 2nd.
Surely signing Sandilands and chasing Lobb isn't with the intention to only play Darcy in 5 or 6 games next year? Duman out, Cox back, and take a look at Darcy and Sandilands together.
Your advocating that we play 3 KPD, 3 rucks and 1 KPF. Really?
