Draft Profile 2018 Mature Aged Prospects

Will be the first VFL player to have his name called out....A certainty.
Likely, yes, certainty? Hmm. Wouldn't be shocked to see Rich go ahead as Charmer has said.

I think Josh Corbett is most likely to go first. He was the only player to receive an invite to the national combine from the VFL.

I have them both at around the 35-50 mark in my draft rankings.....Think McAdam may well be the first mature player taken.

Bit of talk about 183cm medium on baller Mack Rivett making waves in recruiting circles. Has had a brilliant start to his VFL career. At 22, is firmly on recruiters minds after another scintillating display on the weekend, albeit in a loss to cross town rivals Williamstown.

Funnily enough in the VFL, the best mature aged ruckman would be Pedersen so hopefully the Dees give him just 1 more year as backup if Gawn goes down (touch wood it doesn't happen).

How has Berry gone for Werribee? He was a top up with Geelong last year and was at least on par with Abbott. Abbott hasn't been disgraced at AFL level so far though a final against Gawn could get ugly.

Any good mature aged ruckman

Darcy Fort from Central District would be the best ruck in the SANFL and probably best non AFL listed ruck out there, very strong in his tapwork to his mids but also gets the ball around the ground, quite mobile. He'd be a very handy back up ruck who could take the lead ruck at times if a clubs first choice player is out.

i hope Tobe Watson gets picked up by essendon. that would be funny

GC Bulletin reported on Friday that the Suns will take Marlon Pickett & Sam Collins as their 2 state priority picks... if the ruling eventuates which must be likely if they are leaking the info out?

Both players will give immediate great service...if used in the right way.

Collins as the spare, Pickett in an inside/outside role.

At last the landscape is changing and "ready made" mature players are in the frame

I really want Shane McAdam. He will be an absolute star. Can't see it happening with most of our picks being tied up with Rhylee West and Buku Khamis.

Highly unlikely if both Gold Coast & Carlton are granted mature aged concession picks.....One of the first to be snaffled up you'd reckon.
