But doesn’t that apply to literally every stat in a team game like the NFL?

It’s generaly a sign of a good effort by the QB, but sometimes they get bailed out by their receivers, kicker etc.
But the same applies to sacks, QB hits, interceptions, completion percentage etc etc.
