What is the other option?

Squeal a bit? The power base is Victorian. Their Government pork barrels a bit and they get the Grand Final locked up for 40 odd years. No amount of squealing from Fagan and other non Vic clubs will change anything.

Even Geelong couldn't get their rightful home Final due to the Melbourne (MCG js Mecca) centric attitude.

We just have to be much better to beat them. Implement a plan to beat them on their home deck.

There is no other realistic option.

If we have to play Richmond at the G in the finals then I would prefer the Prelim. Unlike GWS last year, we would get 30,000 plus to the game. Winning their first two finals created great momentum that helped them get up a head of steam.

Playing a Vic team in the Grand Final gives them a 5 goal start, particularly if they are based at the G. I think only one team based at Docklands has won a flag in 20 odd years (the Bulldogs). Geelong were playing more games at the G than at Kardinia Park between 2007 and 2011.

Last year I was hoping that we played Richmond in the GF. Never again, I hope that the Crows, Sydney, GWS and the Eagles make the top four and we will have a genuine GF.

Can’t see GWS making it. Too many injuries and depth surprisingly not good enough.

Richmond are a lock for top 4. They’ve still got 8 games at the G.

Prefer to get Richmond in the qualifying final, then send them packing to lose to West Coast away.

At the G. Would have happened at AO?
You missed my point.

We were good enough to lead (even without our best Footy) then our guys (players and coaches) lost it. That is our clubs fault.

Maybe it would have been easier at AO. However that is irrelevant in the context of the situation. We were getting the job down at the G untill our guys stopped working and let Richmond run all over us.

I am not saying the situation is just. I don't agree with the way it is at all. I agree Richmond are poor away from the G (it is quite comical hiw different they are away from that ground) and yes we probably would have belted them in an AO Grand Final.

Just like Geelong would have beaten them if that Final was play at KP.

The league we joined does not work that way. As you say many might lose interest. But that won't change anything.

Our club just has to rise above the handicap if we want to win the flag. Accept it and just be better prepared if we make it again.

The GF location wouldn't matter so much if interstate clubs had decent access to tickets. In '97 and '98 it felt like there was a bigger percentage of Crows fans in the crowd compared to last year (going by watching on TV and listening to the crowd noise).

I won't bother watching this year's GF if we're not in it, just like I didn't watch in 2015/16.

I agree but I don’t want to be too greedy.

GWS are a bit like us, if they can get most of their players back they will be a top four team.

Losing top 22 players hurts but the real key is losing key players. Currently Richmond have 11 or 12 of their best dozen players (Daniel Rioli). Melbourne have all of their best 12 and arguably all of their best 22. Port fell apart without Ryder and Hartlett. IMHO we had 7 out of our 12 most influential players missing his week (Brown, Smith, 2 X Crouch, Sloane, Walker and McGovern). If this continues we will not make the Eight. If we get back most of these players we are a red hot chance.

I think this is where most of the angst is about the fitness team. Just get them on the park ffs and we feel we can beat most teams.

Melbourne, Bulldogs, St.kilda, North should of been removed 30 years ago.
Hawks and Melbourne talked merger. Footscray and Fitzroy also talked merger. North should have gone North to Gold Coast and St Kilda to Tassie

In a perfect world, we would have a team in the NT, Tassie and in Canberra.

As you mentioned all those teams were so close to folding. Its a pity actually, would have made for a far superior competition.

Why?

Looks like a Geelong supporter. :$
I don’t condone it at all - but didn’t a port flog wave a flag on one of our players face when he was lining up for goal ? Jenkins ? Walker ???? There’s a fence and everyone should be behind it - simple

But ....flog on the Bay said it was sexual assault ...

What does that make what Sex Pest Pepper do then ?
God they’re idiots

There should be life bans for sure for supporters that deliberately touch players like that. I dont care who they support.
