I think my favourite part of the crowd shot is that they have shown the whole area beyond the stadium in the telecast and are expecting people to believe that the rest of the 10k who have come to the ground are in a marquee or marquees.

We have an event that I am involved in down in the South East called "Generations in Jazz, James Morrison" where a whole bunch of kiddies who can't play an instrument but still give it a red hot go and then call it "jazz" come together for a weekend of...well noise. Still, they have a marquee that fits 4k in it with people seated, which you would think would be the size needed for around that mark, mainly standing and eating food.

That Marquee is ******* massive, seriously massive, probably 30-40 metres high 150+ metres long and 100 wide.

And apparently there were two of these marquees full of people that just could not be seen by the cameras during the whole telecast...but they were there

I just like the idea that 5,000 spent thousands to get across there and spent the whole game in a marquee and didnt even come out for the opening bounce.

I would say the same thing if you were accusing Collingwood of gross incompetence. You're a complete simpleton if you think that AFL clubs aren't all using very similar best practices for injuries.

It's just numptys on this board that assume we must be incompetent and that we're liars.
Striving for best practice is system.

Executing best practice is personnel.

It's the same reason some teams are good and some are shit. They all know how to football.

So the Eagles did what we were trying to do in the GF last year. We failed they succeeded. How ground advantage no doubt helped give them the confidence to pull it off.
We have beaten the tigers 2 of the last 3 times we've played them. Both away from the g. Eagles also beat them away.
Nothing to see here, take home message is that Richmond can't play away from home. Lucky they don't have to when it matters

Does anyone else watch AFL 360 and think Alan Richardson is a bit wishy washy?

When you make Chris Scott look sharp by comparison, there's something wrong.
Saw them on an episode last year and thought the same thing.

Richardson seems like a stand up guy, but needs things explained sometimes.

Or they've told us what they've known at the time

What possible reason do they have for lying? Whatever has happened has happened. They're not trying to sell season tickets..
As I said earlier whether they are lying or not is irrelevant.

However, to address your question. Their reason for lying would be so that the nation wide press doesn't report that we have a piss poor fitness/medical department that has caused us to lose half of our list to soft tissue injuries that are directly related to our fitness program. Its a bad look for our club.

I think they tell us what they know, and often they're hopeful for improvement that hasn't come.
Thats all well and good, but surely even you can see that they have stuffed up the messaging. Take for instance the Pyke and Crouch handling over his OP. 2 days after Pyke denies OP, Crouch comes out and says he has it. Even if Pyke wasn't lying - the correct thing would be for Pyke to come out 2 days later and announce the OP during a press conference. "We did some more testing, it turns out new information changed the diagnosis and OP has been confirmed".

Its often more about how and when the information is presented rather than what the actual information is.

Obviously, the afl ticks off the Talia/Webb sliding free. Vic fix is on.
It’s just a terrible rule that rewards players who get to the contest second.

The vast majority of frees paid for sliding are nothing like the incident that they were brought in to stop. I’m not even sure why the AFL brought in the rule as there was a grand total of 1 injury like that in the decades before the rule was brought in. Are they going to ban tackling next?
