It's interesting how they've eased Grundy out of the ruck to give Mason Cox a more prominent role.

The plan is a bold one but has just one flaw:

Cox is utterly useless.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone as clueless on a football field well..... well since I played

It so makes me laugh when I see the media link them to Sloane. No forward line, ordinary backline. Throw a mega $$$$ free agent deal at Sloane....

You know it makes sense! ;-)
This raises an interesting discussion point. At what stage as a player do you say to your manager '' dont talk to these teams''

As a player manager you would talk to any club, as competition only drives the price up. I wouldn't be surprised to see Collingwood throw massive offers to either Tom Lynch as either suit their needs far more than Sloane. Especially the GC Tom Lynch who is exactly what they need.

The media speculation about Sloane to Collingwood I think just shows the media is clueless, as even Collingwood aren't that stupid as to be targeting Sloane. He isn't what they desperately need.

Collingwood get linked to EVERYONE. The media never stop fapping about them as it’s ratings for them.

I'm no fan of Buckley but that list, WTF is going on, i've seen better lists when i go to the supermarket

maybe they should get another midfielder, FFS
They've just continually recruited midfielders, but a whole heap of them just aren't that good at disposing of the ball by foot, which massively hurts their ability to send the ball into and out of the 50m arcs.

Why doesn't he just buy a Carlton membership and get in free on that. Give something back to the club that made him a millionaire.
Believe He a Board Member of the Carlton Football Club. He looks after the Football and List Management department, and one of the reasons Carlton had a change in heart in trading Gibbs.

It like stopping the Roo from attending a JLT game at Football Park and asking for a ticket.

To be fair, he took over Collingwood when they were a basketcase. Plus they have minimal resources

Wait, what?
Anytime you have the chance to throw out an all time dynasty coach, whose just taken you to 2 grand finals, including 1 flag, in the last 2 years, and replace him with an untried rookie who might not even be able to coach... well you just gotta grab those chances with both hands

Thanks to the biggest turncoat in Big Footy, Tribey, these are Ports homecrowd numbers:

R02 vs Freo, 38388 (Sun Twilight)
R03 vs Adel, 53698 (Sat Night)
R05 vs Carl, 43120 (Fri Night)
R07 vs WCE, 38333 (Sat Twilight)
R11 vs Haw, 37910 (Thu Night)
R13 vs BL, 31772 (Sat Twilight)
R15 vs Rich, 39979 (Sat Night)
R17 vs NM, 34138 (Sat Day)
R19 vs StK, 30335 (Sat Twilight)
R21 vs Coll, 37533 (Sun Twilight)
R23 vs GCS, 34288 (Sat Night)
REF vs WCE, 41172 (Sat Night)

First excuse, timeslots, Port got shitty ones because the AFL “know” Port rock up, umm no they don’t, that’s us. Besides, Sat twilight is a great timeslot, leaves the day and night still free.

Secondly, mediocrity. Well this just suggests they have bandwagon supporters. But in reality they finished 5th at the end of the minor round, what mediocrity? Besides they only got 41k to a final.

They just need to accept that despite their inflated membership numbers, they just don’t have the support and that’s why they are looking for $$$ overseas.

Why hasn't Ollie signed?

Everyone thinks he's a gun... usually he'd be especially welcome in the US, but right now they're kinda turning against him. Even the NRA - National Ryder Association - haven't been able to fix his image.

Only 243 days to go!

Did you find that picture from a Wal-Mart catalogue.

In the same aisle as toilet paper and paper towel.....

It's in the Constitution CBA for H&A matches.

36.5 Player Pass
The AFL will provide each Player on the Primary List and Rookie List of an AFL Club with a Player Pass, allowing access to all AFL Premiership Season matches, subject to capacity and required upgrades for any "fully ticketed game".
Except the WAFL is not the AFL.

If I was a Tealster I would be questioning the real worth of China and how well their club is ran after seeing our results compared to theirs.

So much wasted resources down the road for such little result.

Of course few will.

Hey, that China thing did wonders for Port. It’s not like the Crows have a Chinese sponsor and Port don’t.

Oh, wait...

Getting 41k to a home final is the standout for me. If you can’t get a sellout for a final, you’re not going to get any minor round sellouts (outside of Showdowns).

Home final on a Saturday night wasn't it?

What was Koch's excuse? All the fans used all their money on the trip to China?

Let's not forget how many of those crowd numbers came from give aways at Koch Financial Advice Seminars either.

To be fair a lot of Tealster have family holidays booked in September. It is traditionally after the Footy season for them.
