Hope Fagan can tell supporters the rationale behind the India interest ?

Its is a growing competition. also starting to get a Women comp going. a big chance of getting crossover sponsorship going
Looking on they have a competition, established in India,
And the Jharkhand Crows from Kolkata. won last years Premiership in both seniors and juniors.
Beat the Tigers in the Seniors and the Swans in the Juniors.

I'm a great believer of bedding one thing at a time & not trying to juggle too many balls, that require too many "prop up" $$$$$

1. GWS & GC
2. AFLW
3. Country Football Nationally
4. AFLX .....lets face it, the AFL talks about a game for overseas :p .....ok believe that if you will .....the reality is they want to play 9 a side tournaments in Australia, in the AFL off season, to thwart the growth & exposure of Soccer from ever getting a real foothold .....but the AFL won't come out & say that !

I assume it is not much different to other overseas exhibition games we have played in.

So do the costs of the junket (lets face it) get included in the "Soft" Cap ?

We were approached & showed interest, as long as premiership points were involved ......my point was, why were we interested? ....was it simply a junket ? , or was there a strategic reason involved ?

Surely this is back to front?

I would hate for the game to be during the season, pre or post season is OK but not during.

Why stuff up your routines to put on a sideshow?

The locals would not know or care if it is was a pre season game or one for points.

As has been shown in the past, these games normally only attract ex pats or supporters arranging a trip overseas.

aaa
Port have always had the elite in this state in their corner. I suspect it goes along way to explaining the number of premierships.
Yea they certainly had support for changing the Zones a few times. eventually taking half of Salisbury away from Centrals in the 70 and then again in the 80, quite a few of Jack Cahils stars were original in Central's zone until the SA commission change the boundaries.
And they have had a free ride with there Oval and Club rooms. Old and Present.

Nothing mentioned in the 2007 Year Book, but will check more closely in the morning.
I couldn't find anything, but if I have time tomorrow I might go through some of the Crows' magazines and Year books from around that time.

I did search the Advertiser archives, but only came up with the SANFL plan to renovate AAMI stadium when they were hoping to get a Federal Govt. grant. That all fell through when the powers-to-be decided to move to Adelaide Oval.

I get the feeling the documents should definitely be made public

Mmmmm I guess if they can cut ties with ASADA I can cancel my subscription I have with the ATO and the QLD police traffic department.
I’m finding our aspirations aren’t aligning.
