You can see why Port loaded up in the 2017 trade week. During the 2020 season 12 of their current starting 22 will turn 29 or older and 9 of those will be 30 or older. Smart trading but Kenny is going for broke. There will be no talk of dynasty for you.

Still would love to see their salary cap.

Points to their list managers to fit the new trades under TPP.

Bickley has always said they didn't have the auto increase when CBA was renegotiated. Clever...wish we were on that.
Oh, Noble. Now I understand

I’m not a noble fan but for every Jenkins there’s a Lobbe.

Actually we did.

What did we do with the $ then?....warchest mkII?
We have to pay for Rory somehow, plus Lynch and Laird. Reckon we will put our hats in the ring for Gov Jnr too

Yes, better off rewarding Sloane as our highest paid rather than Lever... & extending Laird, Lynch, Smith & Gov.

They also had the Ryder and Monfries money which they rolled over which played a big part of their newest spending spree.

I originally thought that if you only spent 95% one year that you had to spend 105% the next, but that's apparently not the case. Supposedly you can continue to carry an amount of no more than 5% over each year.

Wait, what? You can pay 105% forever because you spent 95% once? Surely not.
Imagine if the bombers cheating allowed port to win a flag. I didn't think i could hate them more

Port have always had the elite in this state in their corner. I suspect it goes along way to explaining the number of premierships.
And why the state is broke with not enough jobs or education

No it's carried over until it has been spent.

Port didn't spent it in 2016 so it rolled over into this year.

I think it can only be carried for two years. Hence 110% is max that can be spent in a given year.

I think there is a loophole where the carry over money is allocated next year so clubs are continually carrying over the balance from the year before.

ie 5% from 2016 + 95% from 2017 then leaves 5% from the 2017 cap that you can carry over into 2018. At least that is what was explained to me by a Port supporter who I have trusted in the past to be a reasonably reliable source of Port info.

Don’t we have Gov Jnr?
Isn’t Jezza the Snr?

Have Jay/Nick/Steven announced when the Construction of the Jack Watts statue at Adelaide oval will commence?
They’re having trouble deciding on a material to use. They wanted to use a material as similar to the real thing as possible, but everything they try is just too soft to work with.
